Interactive applications for teaching financial mathematics

21. Century is the age of information and new technologies. Data and information from finance world are essential to make the right decisions and staying focused. New technologies also enabled new types of financial operations. All these changes made the financial education and deeper understanding of finance with its new operations a must. This bachelor thesis is focusing on extending a financial literacy by engaging and interactive form. The base is focused on explaining the most important terms of financial mathematics with connection to the formulas used in Smart documents. Explanation of the software user interface aimed on creation of Smart documents further expands this topic. Inclusion of history and origins of the Maplesoft Company and development of Maple software from its roots till today to fulfills the big picture of this thesis.
The financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on the financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The basis is the research made by the author of the diploma thesis. The main objective is to analyze the real situation of the financial comprehension by Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic, and highlight their mistakes in the complex world of finance. This thesis also points out some problems and complications, which have resulted from lack information about financial products. It will also try to suggest a method of how to increase financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants. The diploma thesis is composed in three chapters. The first one gives some information about Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The second part presents the results from research, and the last chapter deals with a financial institution that wants to focus on Vietnamese clients in the Czech Republic.
Complex doing of family financial plan

Personal and family finances are important part of our life. People deal with the issues of money, its earning, spending and evaluating every day. Despite this fact, there is a huge financial illiteracy in the Czech Republic, which causes an inefficient management of our personal finances and also wrong decisions related to choices of financial products. The goal of this thesis is to describe products on Czech financial market in clear and comprehensible way, as well as principles of their functioning and rules for their usage. It tries to give simple manual how to proceed in decisions about own finances. In the first part of this thesis, there is a theoretical basis of this issue and a summary of the products. In the practical part, there are three concrete financial plans for three concrete families. Finally, there is a generalization of the suggested procedure.
Optimization of the financial product portfolio for Czech households

The goal of this thesis is to pick important financial products available on the Czech market and then demonstrate their application on two model households. The products will be divided into four major categories - for payment contact, deposit, investment and credit. Each group will then be analyzed in terms of its suitability for each household.

This thesis describes aspects of consumer behavior in the elderly segment focused on financial products. A short description of the current offer of financial products for seniors follows. The practical part is focused on market research, data analysis of the selected segment and a presentation of conclusions that are based on the research findings. One of the last chapters of this thesis contains information on a research performed by a Czech company working in this field. The research studies financial products agreed by seniors in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this thesis is to describe particular financial products and compare them from the evaluation point of view. We also will review these products from the perspective of clients who differ in investment and saving attitude. We will focus on czech households and describe their habits in area of financial products and examine their behaviour during a time period in relation to phases of economic cycles and other exogenous variables. We also will describe functioning of financial system and focus on information asymmetry between houselholds and financial institutions. Further we will look at examples of moral hazard done by financial institutions. The conclusion of this thesis provides recommendations of suitable products for each client.

The thesis considers lifestyle with emphasis on its applicability in marketing practices. The first part characterises the social research projects that took place recently in the Czech Republic. The second part concentrates on the principles and methods of market segmentation, followed by an example of financial market segmentation based on features of lifestyle. The final part contains recommendations related to marketing strategies towards chosen segments.

Cílem bakalářské práce je získat přehled o systému plánování osobních a rodinních financí, investičních strategií a výběru vhodných finančních produktů. Jsou popsány dvě části finančního plánu: oblast pojištění rizik a oblast zhodnocení majetku. Pro každého časového horizontu osobních cílů je uvedená příslušní investiční strategie. Pro každou strategie jsou vymezeny určité produkty, které svými parametry umožňuji nejlépe splnit naše osobní a rodinné cíle.
