Propeller fan damage analysis
Vašáková, Kristýna ; Štěpánek, Roman (referee) ; Pantělejev, Libor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with propeller fan damage analysis, which is used for air blasting of recycled glass wool. In the frame of experimental work the fractographic analysis for evaluation of damage mechanisms was performed. Further, material analysis for assessment of the material grade (chemical and metallographic analyses) was conducted. Measurement of Vickers hardness with low load was performed for determination of mechanical properties of used materials.
Processing of Operating Load Data for Electrodynamic Test Bench
Prouza, Jiří ; Němec, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with data processing for an electrodynamic test bench. The thesis presents a theoretical overview of signal distribution, determination of fatigue damage from random vibrations and a description of test benches. The next part deals with setting up the test time reduction in GlyphWorks software. The aim of this thesis is to process and create a procedure for an accelerated fatigue test from data measured during an operational test on a polygon. The data are then verified on an electrodynamic test rig using a Skoda Auto dynamic test room. The final part of the thesis contains data evaluation and a guide explaining how to easily create a test in the relevant software.
FEM analysis of carriage for top drive system of drilling rig and its modification
Plachý, Jiří ; Čížek, Petr (referee) ; Klapka, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with FEM analysis and optimization of carriage for top drive system of drilling rig Bentec 350 AC and it is defined as a development contract for company MND Drilling & Services a.s. Intensive drilling leads to damages and repeated occurrence of fatigue cracks on carriage especially along edges of welded ribs in their heat-affected zone. The aim of this thesis is to draft construction improvements of carriage which leads to elimination of damages. Realization of this modifications depends on correct definition of boundary conditions, analysis of damage occurrence as well as verification of carriage drafts with finite element method.

Design and implementation of journal bearing test rig
Kučera, Petr ; Repka, Martin (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dedicated to mechnical desing, fabrication and assembly of experimental bearing testing rig. First part of the document contains research of current knowlege in the field of bearing testing and desings of currently used machines. In second part is conception of the testing rig described. Third part contains description of design variations that were designed. In Discussion is comented choices of final variants. Last part is dedicated to functional verification of the whole testing rig by first series of the tests.
Studium vývoje únavového poškozování u lité superslitiny Inconel 738LC pomocí konfokální laserové rastrovací mikroskopie a miroskopu AFM
Juliš, M. ; Man, Jiří ; Obrtlík, Karel ; Podrábský, T. ; Polák, Jaroslav
Confocal scanning laser microscopy (CLSM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were applied to study surface relief within persistent slip markings (PSMs) in cast nickel-base superalloy Inconel 713LC cyclically strained under strain control at room temperature. The PSM topography with the shape and size of extrusions and intrusions and their evolution during cycling is documented. Isolated peak-like intrusions and hilly extrusions indicate that the cyclic plastic strain is non-uniformly distributed in persistent slip bands. Surface relief data obtained with both high-resolution techniques are compared.
Life of materials and structures 2006. Workshop proceedings

The workshop proceedings include 18 original papers dealing with lifetime of materials and structural parts. Modern methods of lifetime evaluation under conditions of fatigue and some other types of loading are presented in the proceedings.
Using hypotheses for calculating fatigue lives of parts exposed to combined random loads
Balda, Miroslav ; Svoboda, Jaroslav ; Fróhlich, Vladislav
The contribution deals with a complicated problem of fatigue damage of structure parts, which are loaded by a combination of random forces in tension-pressure and moments in torque. An attempt for estimating the total damage is made. It is basedon an application of a virtual damaging stress. The damage is evaluated by meansof the hypothesesof Palmgren-Miner and Corten-Dolan, which are appliedto a rain -flow-like sequence of a resulting stress.
