Cultivation of mathematical literacy at the primary school level
DUBSKÁ, Klára
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the cultivation of mathematical literacy for first-grade primary education pupils. With this aim, several topics, they might encounter outside of school, have been methodically developed. Design research was used to meet the objectives of the work and for proving the functionality of the proposed preparations and then their subsequent modification. During the research, I used methods of observation, interview, questionnaire, and video studies. The theoretical section describes mathematical literacy, in particular, research results and projects to support it. The practical part describes the course of searching for reality-related teaching topics, their processing into preparations for experimental teaching, and verification in practice. The esearch highlights the importance of an educator's self-reflection and the influence of their teaching experience. It demonstrates the difficulty of finding the appropriate topics from ordinary life for adaptation into the tasks for first-grade pupils. As a result of the work, the adjusted verified preparations were created.
Progressive impact of creative intonation on the pupil's musical appreciation development
Srbová, Kateřina ; Váňová, Hana (advisor) ; Veverková, Jana (referee)
The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge of musical-psychological categories, which also includes musicality. The next chapter of the theoretical part is also focused on this theme. The last chapter is creativity and its characteristics and specifics in use in primary school. In the practical part was used the method of parallel group technique. Twenty two pupils took part in the experimental teaching and the same number of pupils represented the control group. The respondents were from two 4th grade classes of primary school. Moreover, in the practical part there is an analysis of the results of empirical research, which was realized by collective screening of musicality. Research has shown that pupils developed through creative intonation achieve better musicality than pupils trained in conventional music education. Didactic use of musicalized poetry in Czech language and Music
Dobiášová, Kateřina ; Tichá, Alena (advisor) ; Váňová, Hana (referee)
This thesis focuses on verification of specific didactic processes which aim to closer introduce poetry to students of primary and secondary schools in an unconventional way. This goal is to be achieved with the use of music. The subject of research is the topic of musicalized poetry and mainly its didactic use in pedagogic practice. This work combined knowledge across subjects of czech grammar/literature and music and arts. The first chapter describes general principles of musicalising poetry, the process of musicalisation and common traits of musicalised poems. The core of the work consists of a reserach probe for which I have prepared several lecture preparation materials. These materials utilise various methods and processes for work with musicalised poetry - specifically I focused on texts of czech poets from the 20th century. Prepared lectures are applied in pedagogic practice by using the method of expetimental teaching. All the didactic outputs are accompanied by one or more reflections. In the end the results are summarized and learned facts are formulated for practical use.
