Project: Industrial Buildings of České Budějovice and their Application in Technical Education at the Second Level of Primary School

Diploma thesis focuses on industrial buildings and objects in České Budějovice and their possible application during technical education at the second stage of the primary schools. Theoretical part of this thesis interprets learning outcomes for project and research teaching as well as excursions and other selected teaching methods. The next section of the theoretical part deals with concept of Technical education within subject didactics and RVP ZV (Curriculum Framework for Primary Education). The last section of the theoretical part introduces selected industrial objects and building in České Budějovice city area. Their application in the course of technical education is further explained in practical section of this thesis. Practical part contains altogether 5 model lessons which can be applied at the second stage of the primary education. Practical part includes information overview for each model lesson and offers possibility for further extension. The lesson worksheets are enclosed in the attachment.
Ceramic materials in engineering

This thesis deals with ceramic materials, especially technical ceramics. It is specialised in partition of ceramics and ceramic materials and also deals with the processing and production of ceramics. Ceramic materials were studied in practice in several Czech companies, where a personal excursion and photo documentation was performed. An integral part is the comparison of technical materials not only in the sphere of technical ceramics, but also a comparison with materials such as metals, polymers and composites. Furthermore, a didactic aid was prepared for teaching in the form of examples of individual ceramic components, from ceramic powders, products before firing, to individual final products. These ceramic components were obtained with the help of two Czech and one multinational company.
Field Practice - Space for Inquiry Science Education at Primary School

This thesis deals with the topic of science curriculum. It contains suggestions and realizations of four nature walks. The theoretical part defines the concept of excursion, walk and research-oriented teaching. The practical part is based on the preparation and realization of four walks near the school. The aim of this work is to suggest and realize simple research activities around the school. Another aim is to verify their functionality and evaluate the pupils´success during their realization. This work shows not only pupils but also teachers, another, more interesting approach in the science education. It builds pupils´ interest and positive attitude to the nature and strengthens their knowledge of science. It develops and acquires new knowledge through the method of pupil´s research. This work is intended for the pupils of 4th and 5th grade of primary school with FEP educational program. Worksheets for individual seasons have been prepared for the walks.
Creative Teaching Concepts of the Education of the Whole Preparation of the Dishes in Primary School Education

The present degree work deals with the topic "Creative Teaching Concepts of the Education of the Whole Preparation of the Dishes in Primary School Education". In the theoretical part i focus on the following main three areas. The first part dwells on activation methods in primary school education. The second part describes the educational range The Preparation of Meals According to General Educational Programme. The third and final part deals with the theory of creativity in technical education in primary schools. The practical part contains six subjects which are concentrated on the meals preparation, the excursions related to the meals preparation and the basis of etiquette. The created topics are designed for pupils of primary 1 - 4 classes. The contents of the practical part consists of the detailed description of the meals preparation, the excursions related to the food processing, and the evaluating work sheets.
The City Museum Sedlčany and its Application to Education in Primary School

The diplome thesis deals with historical excursions in the surroundings of Sedlcany and their aplication at primary schools. In the theoretical part it introduces the term (concept) of learning and it´s importance for primary school pupils. It decribes the process of learning and assorts it. It focuses on excursion connections between a given theme and the Framework educational programme of primary school education with following inclusion into teaching. It also briefly depicts the history of Sedlcany´s museum and Sedlcany itself. It explains the basic of museum pedagogy as well. In the practical part there are suggestions for preparing excursions into museums. Two of them have already been put into practise by the author. The thesis also includes a questionnaire, which proves efficiency and utilization of the excursions suggested, and it´s assessment.

Fish in the educational area Humans and Their World

The aim of this graduation thesis is to analyze of the nature curriculum and to prepare suggested activities, which deepen the subject matter of fish with suitable enquiring to scientifically oriented subjects on the first level (first of all science). For processing this topic of the graduation theses were preparing two excursions on store-ponds, the one on the fish haul from the pond, arranging the aquaria and meeting with an angler.
Teaching about Invertebrates at the Second Grade of Elementary School: a Case Study

The main aim of the study was to find out how specific teachers teach invertebrate zoology at the 2nd grade of selected primary schools. The first part of the thesis is devoted to anchoring the invertebrate curriculum in the Framework Curriculum for Primary Education and selected methods and forms of teaching with motivational character (mainly outdoor education, experiential pedagogy, research-oriented teaching, excursions, and didactic games). A substantial part of the work is also devoted to cross-cutting themes, specifically environmental education about teaching invertebrates. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of teaching strategies and attitudes in teaching invertebrate zoology to specific teachers. Using a questionnaire survey and by comparing the results obtained, problematic points of teaching invertebrates were identified: the laa number of representatives, the (need for) reduction of the curriculum related to invertebrate anatomy, the interconnection of schools with environmental centers' use of live representatives in teaching. The second part of the research includes the results of semi-structured interviews with four science teachers who commented on the choice of teaching methods and forms of the environment in which the particular school is located (city ×...
