Development of high polymer grout system
Ručková, Kateřina ; Seidlová, Michaela (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on polymer grout, designed for heavy engineering operations and energy industry. The aim of the thesis is to define the requirements for use of polymer grout and also evaluation of testing procedures and legislative regulations on properties of these materials. Based on theoretical knowledge gained from literature will be designed HighTech polymer grout using secondary input materials.
Study of electric properties of nanocomposit material
Ovsík, Jiří ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
This work deals with the electrical properties of nanocomposite materials. Samples for the experiment are made of epoxy resin as matrix and titanium dioxide TiO2 as nanofillers in varying percentage performance. Measurements are temperature dependent components of the permittivity, dissipation factor and resistivity. Furthermore, the internal resistivity is observed with regard to the percentage performance of a sample of nanoparticles.
Inorganic fillers effect on electrical properties of the epoxy resins
Doležel, Tomáš ; Jirák, Josef (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with problems of electrical insulation materials based on epoxy composites used in the electronics industry. This thesis is divided into theoretical part focused on composite materials, their technological processing and diagnostics. It also describes dielectric materials, their properties and events taking place in their structure. The experimental section describes the measurement of electrical properties of samples of electrical insulating materials with different types of fillers.
Epoxy resins exposure under severe climatic conditions
Hanačík, Radim ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
This thesis describes the effects of climatic factors, particularly humidity and temperature on the properties of macromolecular substances, but also others, such as UV radiation, wind, water and oxygen. Furthermore, we introduce the definition and distribution of macromolecular substances. The next section describes the basic properties of dielectric materials. Much of the text is devoted to the description, production, curing, properties and utilization of epoxy resins. The last part deals with climate factors in general terms.
Stabilizing epoxide systems in surface protective varnishes
Švardala, Daniel ; Tocháček, Jiří (referee) ; Petruš, Josef (advisor)
The diploma thesis describes the influence of humid conditions on the curing of epoxy resins by multifunctional amines. The aim of the experimental part was the identification of degradation products and their quantification, as well as the determination of the influence of humid conditions on the degree of hardening, modulus of elasticity, and flexural strength. Another goal was to optimize the formulation of the reactive mixture for the preparation of epoxy resin with lower susceptibility to carbamate bloom. The degradation products were evaluated by determining the mechanical properties by bending test according to the standard ČSN EN 179-1. The degree of hardening was monitored through temperature modulated differential scanning calorimetry (TMDSC). Degradation products were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and quantified by UV-VIS spectroscopy. The morphology of the surface layer was monitored by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). The dependence of the relative humidity of the environment on the curing process of the epoxy resin and its resulting mechanical properties was determined. Based on the analyzes, a modification of the formulation for the suppression of spurious carbamate during the curing of the epoxy matrix was designed and experimentally verified.
Development of progressive polymer anchor material
Žlebek, Tomáš ; Jakubík, Aleš (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with development of a new progressive anchor material on the polymer base. Nowadays, it is effort to utilize secondary raw materials in building industry as much as possible both from an environmental aspects in order to save primary energy sources and the reduction of waste and also due to economic reasons. Therefore, there is an effort to utilize high amount of suitable and appropriately treated secondary raw materials into the anchor materials. The main aim of this work is to develop high quality anchor material characterized by excellent ratio between speed and strength growth, high chemical resistance, thermal resistance and particularly minimal shrinkage. This new material is designed especially for anchoring building structures heavy machines steel barriers and other elements.
Polymer protective systems for concrete floors
Novotná, Adéla ; Vyhnánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Petránek, Vít (advisor)
The thesis is addressing the testing of protective polymer layers, which are used mainly for industrial floors. A summary table of standards is presented, dividing the test carried out on the binders, fillers, fresh mixture and polymerized material. Non standardize tests are described in detail in a very similar way as it is performed by the Institute of Technology of Building Materials and Components. The second part of my thesis is devoted to testing of the reference material and material filled with raw substances. Based on recommendations of Lena Chemical Company, filler – ground windscreen glass will be used. On this type of mixture selected set of tests needed for construction and technical certificates was performed.
Properties diagnostics of electrically insulating potting compounds
Mucha, Jan ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Frk, Martin (advisor)
Submitted paper deals with the current condition of electrical insulating substances used in electrical engineering, including the requirements on their electric and mechanical qualities. Another part of this paper constitutes a set of samples of epoxy resins and through and application of appropriate diagnostical methods the characterization of their attributes in the wide temperature range.
Study of electrical properties of nanocomposites
Ovsík, Jiří ; Rozsívalová, Zdenka (referee) ; Polsterová, Helena (advisor)
The present work deals with the electrical properties of nanocomposite materials. Samples for the experiment are made of epoxy resin as a matrix and oxides TiO2, Al2O3, WO3, SiO2 as nanofillers in 0.5 and 1 percent performance. The experimental samples are measured in temperature and frequency dependence of relative permittivity, dissipation factor, rezistivity and are broken down by the influence of filler on the electrical properties of the polymer. Attention is also paid to the mechanical properties of nanocomposites.
Pultrusion process optimizing of composites based on epoxy matrix
Ostrezi, Jan ; Bábík, Adam (referee) ; Přikryl, Radek (advisor)
The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with current progress in the field of long fibre reinforenced composites with matrix based on epoxy resins. It also deals with production methods of composite materials, especially pultrusion. The practical part is based on pultrusion process optimizing of composites profiles based on epoxy matrix. Profiles were examined by DMA test to set the glass transition temperature.
