Problems of processing of the building energy performance certificate in case of sale and lease of existing buildings
Hlavsa, Petr
This paper deals with a fundamental change in the Energy Management Act, which from 2013 introduces in some cases an obligation to process the Building energy performance certificate even for existing buildings. One of these cases is sale or rental of the building or unit. The paper summarizes an issue of evaluation of existing buildings, and points to facts that may adversely affect the quality of certificate processing and the reality of its information value. It follows up existence and usability of a project documentation of older objects and necessity of correct identification of materials used in the building including stating sources, which may be the cause of incorrect identification of materials. An example in this paper points to the importance of their correct identification from the point of view of thermal evaluation of structures that enter into the certificate. This paper briefly outlines possible impacts of the use of certificates for older construction on real estate market.
Energetická náročnost veřejného osvětlení
Gašparovský, Dionýz
After energy performance of lighting in buildings assessed in the proces of energy certification was put to life few years ago, the focus is now on energy performance of public lighting. As required by the mandate of the European Commission to the CEN to define and introduce suitable numerical indicators of the energy performance of public lighting systems, the standardisation process started in 2009. A self standing part of the standard for roadlighting, prEN13201-5 in particular, is devoted to this topic. This standard actually passed through the formal vote in CEN and release of the standard is expected in August this year. Since the begin there were several indicators like LENI, SLEEC and others under discussion, but finally a pair of compound indicators PDI and AECI won the battle. It is obvious that situation in road lighting is principially different from buildings and this fact has to be reflected in selection and definition of the indicators. Aim of this paper is to explain the different approaches and reasons of the selection of PDI and AECI as indicators for assessment of public light ing systems and to give an overview on the main parts of this draft standard with discussion on practical application of the indicators. Lighting control profiles important for calculation of the annual energy consumption incorporated in the AECI indicator are discussed as well in the paper.
Impact Assessment of Selected Parameters of Residential Buildings on Their Energy Performance
Vendlová, Lucie ; Rubina, Aleš (referee) ; Kabele,, Karel (referee) ; Papež,, Karel (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The work deals with the impact assessment of selected parameters of residential buildings on their energy performance. Within the application of the theory of statistics database of selected residential buildings is analyzed in terms of different features that characterize it. In particular, the thermal insulating properties and individual sub-items in the energy balance are analyzed. Then the measured rate dependence of selected parameters affecting energy performance is examined using correlation and regression analysis. The results are applied in the development of computational tools for evaluating energy flows in the building.
Impact Analysis of reconstruction of a rental house in České Budějovice on the rent rate
Jašková, Andrea ; Cupal, Martin (referee) ; Daňhel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis analyzes the impact of the reconstruction of a rental house on the rent rate. Specifically, it deals with insulation, replacing windows, doors and fitting new balconies. The theoretical part deals with the theme of energy performance of buildings, economic evaluation and valuation themes. In the practical part of thesis is completely evaluated energy consumption of the building and is determined its energy performance before and after insulation. It is determined the cost of construction works carried out an itemized budget and evaluated flat units by direct comparison before and after the reconstruction. The purpose of my work is finding of the influence of reconstruction on the price of the rent in terms of energy savings and profitability and return on the investment.
Energy performance of air handling units for swimming pool halls
Batelka, Václav ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The thesis is focused on determining the energy flows and the creation of an internal microclimate swimming pool halls. It describes the problems of design, the potential risks associated with the use of pools and thermodynamic processes heat and mass transfer. For this purpose was developed simulation program, which examines the behavior of heat and humidity in the room depending on external factors. The room can be simulated for any time period and geographic location. The outputs of the simulation are heat and mass balance, which will be covered air condition units. Three variants were designed and optimized solutions comparing claims on their operations. The experimental part is focused on the evaporation of the water. Measurement examines dependence of the speed of evaporation of water at different boundary conditions. Was investigated temperature dependence of water, temperature and relative humidity and air velocity above the water surface.
Energy balance in wastewater treatment plants
Novotný, Jan ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This masters thesis is dealing with energetic evaluation of selected municipal WWTP – WWTP Polička. First chapter, introduction explains basic terms and goals of thesis. Second chapter explains energy audit, energy audit process its scope and contents. Third chapter deals with assesing life cycle using LCA (life cycle assesment). Fourth chapter deal with energy consumption at WWTP in Czech Republic as well as in the world. Fifth chapter describes technology of WWTP Polička and its fundamental objects. Sixth chapter is assesment of WWTP Polička from hydraulic point of view and assesment of selected machinery. Further there is summation of capital and operational costs followed by capital investment return.
Energy Performance of sewerage networks
Žďára, Jan ; Hluštík, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
First section of this master thesis is background research of energy demand of sewer systems. Intrudoctory chapter explains basic concepts. Second chapter is dealing with Czech and European legislation concerning energy consumption of water service. Third chapter describes energy demand of sewer systems. In this chapter there are described conventional gravity, vakuum and pressure sewer systems and components with major power consumption. Fourth chapter describes actual state of energy demand of WWTP and possible ways of improving power consumption of WWTP. Second section is a review of energy consumtion of vacuum systems of five different municipalities including one WWTP. Measured and evaluated outputs were used to create energy audit methodology for sewer systems.
Energy self sufficient house
Hrncsjarová, Hana ; Talanda, Tomáš (referee) ; Chovancová, Michaela (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of energy self-sufficient houses. The search of requirements and technical applications usable in the design of energy self sufficient house is presented. There are some of the legislation relating to the issue too. Thesis includes also the examples of implemented projects in the Czech Republic and the design of modifications of the particular house for the possible energy self-sufficiency.
Wind energy
Král, Ondřej ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis discuss wind energy sector. The first chapter focuses on basic construction types of wind power plants, their classification and description of the main parts. Basic physical principles by which electrical energy is produced, presents the next section, which deals with the lifetime of wind turbines, too. The final chapter describes the development of wind power in history, wind energy is here compared with other energy sources, and finally it is dedicated to matter of wind turbines’ energy payback.
Calculation of Energy Performance of Buildings
Hartman, František ; Maurerová, Lenka (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis in the first part deals with changes of energy assessment of the building by introducing decree 78/2013 and compares it with the previous decree 148/2007. In the next part are specified energy systems entering the calculations and individual computing procedures for determining the energy requirements for individual HVAC systems. In the last part is calculation of the energy performance of the building. As an evaluation mechanism was chosen, the energy performance certificate. There were dealt different variants of calculations in terms of data input. The results are shown in the comparative charts and diagrams.
