MAC Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
Michálek, Tomáš ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Červenka, Vladimír (advisor)
The work focuses on introduction to the topic of wireless sensor networks and brings readers the various aspects of problem solving in these networks. Work is closely focused on the energy performance when communicating between devices on a network and discusses the causes of excessive energy consumption. It also addresses the mechanisms for saving energy and is also engaged today protocols that its contribution to proposing solutions to problems. The author had also proposes an adapted protocol, based on lessons learned from previous theoretical sources.
Reference Nodes Selection for Anchor-Free Localization in Wireless Sensor Networks
Complex Production Line for Through Hole and Surface Mount Components Assembly from energy saving point of view
Tomanček, Maroš ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis deals with analysis of electronic assembly line from an energy consumption point of perspective. The throughput rate is observed along with consumption of individual devices from the chosen assembly line at Resideo company. The work load balance of the assembly line was evaluated by cycle time analysation. Electrical power and losses were measured with the use of power logger and a thermal camera. The possible energy saving solutions are then concluded from analysis and comparison of power drawn by the devices. Use of low temperature solder alloys and other modern industry solutions were considered with recommendation to be used in the field.
Energy consumption of manual wheat grinding
Mařík, Vojtěch ; Hora, Martin (advisor) ; Sládek, Vladimír (referee)
In this thesis, the energy consumption during manual wheat grinding was investigated using two historically widespread and important technologies for grain grinding, namely the saddle quern and the rotary quern. This energy consumption was also compared to some anthropometric parameters of the grinding human. The method of indirect calorimetry using Cosmed K5 was used to measure energy expenditure. Bioimpedance scale InBody270 and basic anthropometric tools such as anthropometer and pelvimeter were used to determine selected body parameters.. The energy expenditure of grinding by the rotary quern was also measured by different movement patterns, namely unimanual clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation and bimanual counter-clockwise rotation. Energy expenditure was sampled on 30 women. It was found that although grinding on a saddle quern is an energetically less demanding activity compared to grinding on a rotary quern, significantly more energy is required to grind the same amount of cereal grains (297 kcal/kg grain vs. 109 kcal/kg grain). Clockwise milling was found to be the most energy-efficient variant of milling, while counter-clockwise milling was more energy demanding (clockwise milling 5.48  1.13 kcal/min vs. counter-clockwise milling 6.21  0.87 kcal/min). Anthropometric parameters...

Title: Determination energy costingness and means of it's cover in complex outdoor performance in special physical training Objektive of work: Objektive of this work was to found the level of the stress and it's energetic severity of the Komplex drill in Special physical education as a komplex and so the each Themis, which are in the Komplex drill contained. Consequently energy costingness compare with options of energy cover which are availiable for soldiers of Czech army Metod: Master thesis was processed as a empiric kvantitative research with method of shared watching proband in the Komplex drill in nature. In the first part of the thesis there was found the level of the minute lungs ventilation with the spiroergometric test. In the second part there was a observation with seven participants of the Komplex drill. After that we did analysis of all possibilities which have soldiers of Czech army availiable. Results: There was the observation of the heart beat frequence, in duration 27 hours. The highest depletion of the energy was observed in theme of the movements in the nature, concretely in orienteering run. Average heart beat frequence was 161 beats per minute. The lowest heart beat frequence in the themes of the Special physical education was observed in surfoval drills where it was 105...
Comparison of selected European Union countries based on the development of their energy consumption and policy
Ďurica, Michal ; Tomeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Ženka, Jan (referee)
The thesis compares and analyses the development of production/consumption of energy in the EU28, in selected countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia), and especially in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the context of accepting and development (change) of energy policies. The main aspect of the work was to analyze trends in energy consumption and (in) dependence, structure of energy production/consumption, particularly with the application potential of alternative energy sources and energy savings. This thesis confirmed that there are significant differences in achieving the main objectives of EU energy policy among states. Statistical (correlation) analysis did not confirmed a significant dependence between the energy (in) dependence, the energy saving rates and the share of alternative energy sources. Synthetic index of energy change has evaluated Hungary and Slovakia from selected countries with the best energy progress since 2004. It was not proved that Slovakia or Czech Republic have a consistent long-term energy policy that they would explicitly followed. Key words: energy policy, energy savings, energy consumption, energy dependence, European Union
