Zachranka App UX Improvement
Vu, Thi Bao Ngoc ; Zavřel, Jan (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
This work aimed to improve the user experience of the Zachranka app for deaf users. The aim of the work is to make the application more accessible, easier and faster for deaf people to use during crisis situations. To improve, the original design of the application was gradually modified. The designs incorporate insights from current designs of similar applications, comments from deaf people, and information from the dispatcher’s manual and the emergency services operator. The first draft of the modified application was created and tested by deaf users. A second draft was then created that corrected the errors in the first draft. The result of this work is a design that is more deaf-friendly than the original application design, while facilitating the exchange of important information between the deaf user and the operator.
Drones (UAVs) in the area of emergency services (Integrated Rescue System)
Cílem této bakalářské práce je poskytnout přehled dronů využívaných v oblasti integrovaného záchranného systému a popsat technologie související s těmito drony.
Tool for Effective Communication between a Drone Pilot and a Mission Commander
Rakús, Martin ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
Nowadays, the primary communication channel for firefighters and mountain rescue units is voice transferred over the radio. However, radio communication might not be sufficient enough with the increasing use of drones in rescue operations, especially for communication between drone pilots and mission commanders or operators. When relying solely on radio communication, the ground team and the commander have to depend on verbal communication alone, which can lead to restricted communication and the possibility of missed or misinterpreted instructions. To address this, I developed two applications - one for the drone pilot and one for the unit commander. The pilot app includes the interface necessary for flying the drone, while the commander app connects to the pilot app and provides access to the drone video feed and other important information. The commander can send visual feedback to the pilot by drawing into the video feed, placing annotation icons, or sending flight commands for more precise cooperation between the drone and the ground team. As the solution is a stand-alone system, it is not susceptible to radio communication overload, which guarantees that commands are not lost and that it can be used even when the radio fails.
Medical documentation in pre-hospital care
SLUNEČKO, Karel
The topic of this bachelor thesis is Medical documentation in pre-hospital care. This work was divided into two parts. The first part was theoretical, the second practical research. In the theoretical part, the emergency medical service is described with its basic elements and history. Furthermore, the issue of medical documentation was described in general view with its most important aspects. In the last part, the pre-hospital medical documentation service was described by actual examples. Four goals were set in the practical part. The first was to find out the opinion of paramedics on the documentation they are filling and writing as a part of the prehospital care. The second goal was to find out the opinion of paramedics on this documentation in case of need to prove their lege artis procedure. The third goal was to find out the benefits of changes of the software that is used to manage medical documentation. The last goal was to find out how this documentation is subsequently used in the hospital after the handover. The method of qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews was chosen for the practical part. The research samples for the first two goals consisted of 12 paramedics, each of whom was asked 19 main questions, additional subquestions were asked in a case the interview led to them. For the third goal, the research sample consisted of 8 informants, who were asked 6 main questions, which were also developed appropriately by additional subquestions if needed. For the last goal there was research sample of 5 informants from the ranks of nurses in the hospitals. The goal of the research is to point out the most important matters of the pre-hospital documentation that is filled in by the paramedics and their opinion on the changes that were made during last year. The work can serve as a basis for possible changes in the management of medical documentation in the conditions of the emergency medical services.
Readiness of healt care providers to mass disasters
Opltová, Kateřina ; Prošková, Eva (advisor) ; Hošťálková, Monika (referee)
Reception of a large number of the injured to a medical facility as a result of a mass disaster or a catastrophe puts high demands on health care. Such situations can not be dealt with the mere improvisation; it is necessary to create unified organizational procedures defining the composition of medical teams and their activities during the multiple reception of the injured to a medical facility. The theoretical part of this thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of emergency preparedness in healthcare facilities. In the empirical part, I analyzed the readiness of health facilities for a mass disaster in the capital city of Prague. A structured interview with open questions was chosen as a method of data collection. Based on the survey, I concluded that the readiness of health facilities in the capital city of Prague differs. I recommend setting up a phone line while receiving patients as a result of a mass disaster in order to improve the situation in Prague. The sole purpose of such a line would be reporting emergencies. I also recommend health care facilities participate actively in exercises within the integrated rescue system and clearly identify and determine facilities where the reception of the injured takes place if a mass disaster occurs. Špeldová, Martina ; Ondrušová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Nová, Monika (referee)
The theoretical part of this thesis contains the definitions of getting old, being old and the demographics that are connected with these periods of life. Most of the theoretical part pertains to EAN Syndrome and its manifestation and impacts on people's lives. I concerns legislation, EAN Syndrome, non-profit organizations, but the majority of this theoretical section deals with emergency services. I also added the real stories of abused seniors. I used fived case histories of emeregency services clients from the non-profit organization named Elpida, because of the relevance of Elpida's work on elderly. The next part contains transcribed interviews with employees of this organization. I have also inserted my own comments and created tables with the results. The research confirmed, that emergency services are integral to the prevention and solution to EAN Syndrome.

Communication´s specifics with the clients using the emergency calls.
GULÁN, Vladimír
The emploees of Emergency personnel Integrated Rescue System are the first to whom the client of emergency telephone notification turns with confidence and expectation that the initial information and advice will be given to him how to behave in the crisis situation that directly or indirectly relates to his person, when this became a victim or witness. Therefore, there are placed the workers with the certain given level of education on these lines with the specialization for specific emergency services who dealt with notifications from citizens in continuous operation. They will evaluate the obtained information and pass to the bodies of the Integrated Rescue System for further action. The theoretical part defines basic terms related to the Integrated Rescue System to crisis and telephone communication, specific calls to emergency services and there are marginally mentioned the risks that may affect emergency personnel. The practical part examines how workers are assigned to various helplines of Integrated Rescue System equipped with communication capabilities and skills that can handle crisis communication during telephone conversations with citizens whether their communication skills improved during practice and where they see gaps. Evaluation of information has been a manual for emergency workers.
