Energy balance of biomass heating plant
Žmolík, Václav ; Šen, Hugo (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with a design of a biomass heating plant combinating a Rankin-Clausius cyklus and a CHP unit. The CHP unit fuel is a biogas and the boiler fuel is a wooden chip. The adapted CHP unit regenerates feed-water of the R-C cycles. This design is technicaly and economicalty compared with the Rankin-Clausius cycle without feed-water regeneration by the CHP unit.
Fossil fuels substitution in large combustion plant
Hájek, Zdeněk ; Popela, Pavel (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The thesis aims at current issues of using renewable resources here in the Czech Republic, mainly on biomass co-firing with fossil fuels in large combustion plant. The introduction provides an overview of systems for biomass co-firing. Further the using of optimization for solution problem of integration biomass fuels into existing large combustion plants and planning its operation conditions is presented. The main point of this thesis lies in creating of a user interface for modeling and optimization tool. Its functionality will be proved by solving a case study involving the analysis of possibilities for replacing fossil fuels due to the limited availability of coal in the market.
Energy gains of agrofotovoltaics
Huf, Milan ; Kudela, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the possible synergy between agricultural activity and solar energy production. The theoretical part of this work begins with the processing of theoretical knowledge in the field of photovoltaics. Furthermore, the concept of agrophotovoltaics is explained, its advantages and possible types of installation are introduced. Furthermore, existing installations around the world are presented and the situation around agrophotovoltaics in the Czech Republic is outlined. The practical part of the work is focused on the creation of the model and its programming so that the panels create shade for cultivated crops. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the design of an agrophotovoltaic installation in the Brno area and the assessment of its technical and economic aspects.
New approaches to the use of energy of water waves
Novotný, Vojtěch ; Varmuža, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with topic of utilization the energy of sea waves. Mainly describes existing devices transforming this energy into electricity, their division and on what principle they work. Thesis also contains description of sea waves. In the next part, the author designs and describes his own devices converting sea wave energy into electricity. If there is a similar device that is patented and exists author process a patent search to find out.
Alternative energy sources
Stránský, Jaroslav ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Škvařil, Jan (advisor)
In this work, I tried to summarize the current state of world energy resources that we use to convert into electrical energy. There is solved the question of compensation running short supplies of fossil fuels and reduce discharge of greenhouse gasses. I´m looking for suitable compensation in department of alternative energy sources, among which I included the power of the Sun, water, wind, geothermal energy, using heat pumps, combustion energy, nuclear energy, fuel cells and hydrogen use. About anyone of replacing sources you learn about its history, advantages and disadvantages, the principle of function energy transform devices, and compare the potential that is available in the CR and in the world.
Czech Public Opinion on Nuclear Energy – July 2021
Červenka, Jan ; Ďurďovič, Martin
In its July 2021 survey, the Our Society series included a battery of questions on issues of nuclear energy. The survey examined public opinion about whether the proportion of nuclear energy in electricity production should increase or decrease in future, what people think about building a new unit of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Station (DNPS), whether or not they are concerned about the use of nuclear energy in the country, and whether they have confidence in the government’s decisions about the development of nuclear energy.
