Title: Systems of Sport Financing from State Finances in the Czech Republic and in Chosen Countries in Europe Author: Mgr. Jan Procházka Abstract: The goal of the research was to analyse different models of sport financing in the Czech Republic and comparable countries in Europe, and based on this analysis, to propose modifications allowing to stabilise and further develop the Czech model. It was a qualitative research. Regarding methods, it was based on literature research, and analysis of scientific literature, official documents and other sources, and the main research with the help of a structured survey. The latest one was complemented with interviews and personal communication. A pre-research, based on another survey, was an intermediate step for fine-tuning the final survey. Notwithstanding huge problems in obtaining data and even with communication with contacted parties, an important set of data was obtained, and that mainly in comparison with former research, which was appreciated during discussions at conferences and by other interested parties. The research was successful in getting structured information from ten European countries. The Financial Situation of HC Dukla Jihlava

The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe and evaluate the financial situation of HC Dukla Jihlava s.r.o. Not only through financial analysis but also by comparison with other sports clubs. I am following the club's situation for the period from 1 May 2010 to 30 April 2016. The result of my work will be the assessment of the situation on the basis of these financial analyzes and PESTEL analysis and the subsequent determination of recommendations for improvement of the situation.
Cash Flow Model of European Football Clubs

Title: The Cash Flow Model of European Football Clubs Objectives: Using the most updated sources while analysing revenues, costs, and economic results, the main objective of the thesis was to inspect the current cash flow of the first league European football clubs. A partial objective was to create a model based on theoretical and practical findings quoted in the final results. The model demonstrates the most important cash flow among football clubs and other subjects. Another partial objective was to calculate the success rate of respective league competitions based on their economic resources. Methods: To obtain relevant information, a secondary data analysis was used. Also, a comparative analysis method was employed. Then, the researched secondary data was processed and presented in the final part by means of graphs and tables. Results: The revenue that brought the largest number of financial resources for football clubs was broadcasting rights. However, those revenues were significant only for a particular group of the most attractive leagues. For a much bigger portion of the leagues, sponsoring revenues turned out to be more important, which also applied to Czech clubs. Diploma thesis on strategy of a specific business project discusses a formation of the common European hockey league and its penetration into the European market. Based on an analysis of the newly created project strategy, survey with fans of the Czech hockey team and information obtained from the stakeholders, biggest challenges for the competition were set and recommendations for improvement were proposed.
The economics of professional football clubs and issues related to their valuations

Proper valuation of professional football clubs requires understanding and taking into account specific features of sports. Once we are familiar with the relevant issues and have reliable input information, we can determine appropriate valuation techniques, which shall respect purpose of the valuation alongside with any related specific features. Subsequent application of the valuation techniques determines the value of the club. Comparing results of various methods within one club, as well as between the clubs, may test reliability of the values. With regard to their status and importance, Manchester United FC and Arsenal FC are the clubs chosen for the analysis and valuation performed in this dissertation thesis. The workflow and logic above facilitates performing reliable valuations of selected teams, as well as drawing the guidelines and recommendations for the valuation of professional football clubs with regards to specifics in their financing and economic functioning.
Economic analysis of the sports complex Špičák

This master's thesis analyzes the sports and ski resort Špičák. It examines not only the economic factors of the resort, but also describes its history, marketing activities and evaluates the SWOT and financial analysis. At the end there is a comparison with selected competitive resorts using a variety of tools such as Ski Cost Index or special categorization of ski resorts. The aim was primarily to evaluate the complex as a stand-alone unit and to make a comparison with its closest competitors.

Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze the situation of the sports club operating in the economic environment of the Czech Republic. An important part is the analysis of the club's economic cycle and financial resources. The main part of the thesis is a detailed overview of fundraising for running a sports club, from grant programs from private sponsors and membership fees. After evaluating the revenue is followed by an overview of the cost of a comprehensive evaluation of the financial cycle in the sports club.
