Use of didactic aids for pupils with special educational needs in the Secondary Practical School

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the need for a set of didactic aids for pupils with different special educational needs, the creation and verification of a set of didactic aids for pupils in the field of 2-year Practical School, which can be used in the teaching of the subjects Sewing and Working with materials. Due to the lack of suitable aids in the field of sewing and working with materials for secondary school pupils with a wide range of disabilities and disadvantages, it seemed like an appropriate solution to invent and create tailor-made aids based on theoretical analysis of the issues of education of pupils with SEN, mostly with mild and moderate mental retardation, autism spectrum disorders and combined disabilities or with impaired communication skills. In the practical part, the method of observation, interview and action research was used to verify didactic materials in specific teaching situations with pupils of the 2-year Practical School at Secondary Vocational School in Liberec. The aim of the thesis is to answer the research question whether it is possible to create and verify a set of didactic aids that can be used in theoretical and practical teaching for the education of pupils with special educational needs in the subjects Sewing and Working with Materials, i.e....
