Side Channel Cryptanalysis
Martinásek, Zdeněk ; Vaněk, Tomáš (referee) ; Dočkal,, Jaromír (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
Side channels fundamentally changes the view of the cryptographic system security in cryptography. It is not enough to analyze the security algorithm only from a mathematical point of view using abstract models but it is necessary to focus on the implementation of the algorithms. The introduction of the thesis deals with the basic terms, principles of side channel attacks and basic clasification of side channels. The following chapter describes the objectives of the thesis. The main goal of the thesis is to propose and experimentally verify a new power analysis method whish will use the neural network. This main goal was based on the realized analyzes presented in the following chapters. These chapters contain a detailed analysis of currently used power analysis and analysis of AES encryption algorithm. AES was selected becouse the algorithm is resistant to the conventional cryptoanalysis. The following section describes the experimental results of the optimization of existing methods, the influence of the parameters affecting power consumption and the results of the proposed analysis using neural networks. This section includes the discussion of the results. This type of side channel attack has not been published yet thus it is a completely new idea. The final goal of the thesis was to summarize the possible countermeasures protecting against the side channel attacks.
Differential electromagnetic analysis
Novotný, Bohumil ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis studies the theory side channels, simple and differential analysis, and types of attacks on the side channel, which may be run against the cryptographic system. The thesis explains the principles of side channel attack on a possible defense against them. The second part of the thesis describes experimental work created, its individual components and their functions. The findings builds custom solutions attack the electromagnetic side channel using electromagnetic probes and the workplace equipment developed for this task. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the implemented algorithm, a description of measurement, measurement results and possible modifications of algorithms implemented in the microcontroller for full automation of the attack on the device, against which the attack was conducted.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Company and Proposals for its Improvement
Ondruchová, Silvie ; Karas, Michal (referee) ; Žižlavský, Ondřej (advisor)
The barchelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation of the company Bobcat CZ, a.s. from 2015 to 2019 using selected methods of financial analysis. The results of financial analysis of Bobcat CZ, a.s. are compared with results of financial analysis of a competing company. In the last part of the thesis there are suggested possible measures to improve financial situation of the company.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of the Company and Proposals for its Improvement
Švagerová, Sarah ; Ptáček, Roman (referee) ; Žižlavský, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of the financial situation of Broker Consulting, a.s. and proposals for its improvement in the years 2016 to 2021. The thesis uses the methods of financial analysis. The significance of the thesis lies in the identification of key areas that affect the financial situation of the company and proposing specific measures to improve this situation. The results obtained can be used by the company to strengthen its financial stability and increase its competitiveness.

Investigating Infant Mortality in New Zealand: Does Ethnicity Matter?
Merglová, Eva ; Pechholdová, Markéta (advisor) ; Nývlt, Ondřej (referee)
The existence of differences in the chance of survival of infants based on their ethnicity is a phenomenon known from various countries. The aim of this thesis is to add to the related body of research by conducting a complex differential analysis of infant mortality in main ethnic groups of New Zealand. Based on its findings, it should be possible to target supportive health and education programs more precisely. The analysis was performed using data supplied by the Ministry of Health of New Zealand and its results suggest that while some differences can be identified between ethnic groups under study based on age of infant, birth weight, length of pregnancy, age of mother, and primary cause of death, there does not seem to be a difference in the influence of infant's sex.
