Multidisciplinary rehabilitation for pubescents patients with cerebral palsy
Buzková, Tereza ; Nývltová, Lucie (advisor) ; Zounková, Irena (referee)
Cerebral palsy is a non-progressive motor funciton development disorder which is caused by disruption of the immature brain. There is about 16 000 - 20 000 patients living in the Czech Republic with this diagnosis to date. Based on the clinical picture, specific forms of this disorder can be classified. Besides the motor funciton development disorder, the patients also suffer from other comorbidities (such as epilepsy, oropharyngeal dysphagia, sensory deficits etc.). Early diagnosis of this disorder is crucial. The severity of the motor function deficit is evaluated by monitoring the gross and fine motor function. Cerebral palsy is a non-progressive, not unchanging, disorder. The theoretic part of the thesis describes secondary issues which are present during pubescent period of the patients. They are dealing with growth disorders, reduced bone density and increased bone fragility. Plenty of risk factors precede these problems. Also, question of sexuality, life priorities and about future play a big role for the patients in their pubescent period. There are possibilities to solve these problems in terms of complex rehabilitation care. Especially in physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nutritional therapy. The practical part of the thesis is an example of an intensive rehabilitation care of a...
Vady koní
Chrastinová, Nicole
This bachelory thesis discusses about the three most common defekts of horses which occur in our surroundings and are quite ordinary, moon blindness, shortness of breath and summer rash. Except of a description chat the defekt mean, we will be interested in thein diagnosis and how to treat or mitigate its course in time. Already it should be important for this topic prevention by itself, which should ensure that the defekt did not appear at all or only on a smaller scale. Most of the defects mentioned here may be partly hereditary, although its inheritance is not scientifically verified, so we should be more cautious in the offspring of these horses. Still there are breeders who include these animals, especially mares, into breeding. Therefore the effort will try to evaluace how the occurrence of these defects appears in practice and if it corresponds to a literary template.
The Diagnosis of Paranoid Schizophrenia from the Perspective of Parents of the Diagnosed Individuals
Mašková, Kateřina ; Šivicová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Onder, Jakub (referee)
In this bachelor's thesis, I deal with the experiences of parents whose descendants were diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. At the beginning of the theoretical part, I first describe several points of view which can be used when referring to psychotic states: a diagnostic perspective, non-diagnostic perspectives, and an anti-diagnostic perspective. Subsequently, I cover the diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia both from the medical point of view, through its diagnostic manifestations, progressive forms and possibilities of treatment, and as a factor significantly affecting the quality of life. Furthermore, I focus on attitudes, emotions, behavioral patterns and needs of the parents of the diagnosed descendants. The theoretical part of the thesis is concluded with a chapter concerning with various options of psychosocial support for a family system one of whose members has got an experience with a psychotic episode. The empirical part is focused on the experiences of parents whose descendants were given the diagnosis in the age of fifteen or later. I conducted eight in-depth semi-structured interviews and for analyzing the obtained data I used the open coding method. As instances of the topics that the parents from my research sample reflected repeatedly, I would mention the disrespectful...
Assessment of Parkinson’s Disease Based on Acoustic Analysis of Hypokinetic Dysarthria
The significance of morphology in differential diagnosis of lymphoproliferative disorders.
Kaválková, Adriana ; Fátorová, Ilona (advisor) ; Pešková, Eliška (referee)
This work deals with lymphoproliferative diseases in which morphology can contribute to diagnosis and speed up the diagnostic process. The cytomorphological examination is performed whenever any hematopathology is suspected. Cell morphology is assessed from both peripheral blood and bone marrow aspirates. We evaluate many parameters during microscopic examination of the cells: size, shape and deposition of the nucleus, chromatin structure, presence of nuclei, cytoplasm volume and colour, the presence of granules, vacuole, etc. The most common finding in peripheral blood is reactive lymphocytosis and often the presence of cellular atypia: e.g. visible nucleus, a distinct fine structure of chromatin, heterogeneity of the nucleus. Lymphoproliferation can be manifested by non-specific clinical and laboratory findings, which are sometimes difficult to properly evaluate. Therefore should be the results of other laboratory tests and clinical picture taken into account too. Morphology continues to play an important role in the process of recognizing leukaemias and lymphomas. In today's classification responds morphology seldom to the question what disease we looking at. However, the examination is still far more accessible and usually faster than follow-up laboratory methods and has its place in the chain...

Škodová, Magdalena ; Hroboň, Pavel (advisor) ; Bryndová, Lucie (referee)
This thesis examines costs of type 2 diabetes for health insurance companies and occurrence of this disease in Czech Republic. Diabetes mellitus is a serious chronical disease, the prevalence and treatment costs of which have raised over last few years all over the world, while capturing a large part of expenditures of health systems. The aim of this study is to introduce particular methods that may be used to identify individuals with diabetes from available datasets and subsenquently analyze the expenses from the view of Czech health insurance companies. Studies published to date does not seem to be relevant anymore or they examine a small sample of patients. The thesis should provide accurate and actual information since it uses datasets from 2015 provided by health insurance companies and data containing individual costs of policyholders. In order to identify diabetics two approaches are used - diagnosis and various quantities of drug consumption of typical pharmaceuticals. The study implies that the costs of the treatment of diabetes fall between 19 and 44 billion CZK annualy depending on applied method. The analysis also suggests that the average costs are rising along with higher age of diabetic and these costs are more than 2-fold higher when compared to common population. In reaction to...

Myasthenia gravis from the perspective of a nurse.
FEJERČÁKOVÁ, Monika
Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of autoimmune disease Myasthenia gravis. It focuses mainly on nursing care from a nurse'spoint of view. Thesis describes diseases, clinical symptoms of Myasthenia gravis, prognosis, treatment and nursing process in patients with Myasthenia gravis. A very important part of my work is the look and role of the nurse. The aim of the work was to find out the nurses' view of Myasthenia gravis. For qualitative survey was chosen using the semi-structured interview method. The research group was made up of nurses from neurological departments of selected hospitals. The method chosen was interrogation and deep interviewing, in the presence of one interviewer per participant. The analysis of the acquired data was carried out using the hand coding method. The results of the bachelor thesis confirmed the necessity of organizing seminars and lectures on Myasthenia gravis, because the interviewed nurses did not have specialized information about the disease. We also recommend that a standard of nursing care for patients with Myasthenia gravis is developed at each department of neurology. A very important part is also the education of patients. Benefits of thesis results in improving nursing care for patients with Myasthenia gravis, based on organized seminars, education and development of standards in the Department of Neurology.
