Nováková, Michaela ; Voráček, Josef (advisor) ; Ruda, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Strategy of marketing communication for Skechers on the Czech market Goals: The main objective of my thesis is to create a marketing strategy of communication for the Skechcers brand on the Czech market. This goal is based on identifying the biggest weaknesses of the brand. An important aspect of my thesis is also the comparison and inspiration of selected competitors, which are Nike and Under Armour. The target group of the communication strategy will be Generation Y in the Czech Republic. Methods: The practical part of my thesis, thus qualitative marketing research, was done in the form of an interview with two representatives from Skechers and Under Armour. The interview was centered around a previously prepared questionnaire, which was almost the same for both respondents - the only change was the name of the firm which the respondent represented. During the interview we focused on seven sections, which I discribe more in my thesis. A second method was used for the analysis of electronical documents and materials about existing marketing communications of Skechers and selected competitors. Results: The analytical part of the thesis is consisted of undertaken interviews with the representatives of Skechers and Under Armour. The results showed that Generation Y exclusively uses Under...
The Role of Visual Marketing Semiotics in Brand Building
Tesařová, Veronika ; Fišerová, Michaela (advisor) ; Gvoždiak, Vít (referee)
The Diploma thesis is focused on marketing and semiotics and the use of these two fields combined. In the course of the thesis, we will deal with the analysis of single visual marketing modes and the overall impact on perception of the brand and also its ́ building by linking these elements. In the thesis, we will focus on the Gunter Kress ́ theory of multimodality and, in this context, we will focus on graphic design rules, which are reflected within each mode and which can deliver quality and consistent communication. Attention will be paid to semiotic analysis of colors, fonts, utilization of images and photos and other components important for creating a visual marketing strategy. In the empirical section, two similar brands will be introduced, on which the single modes will be demonstrated and analyzed. Although the two brands are similar to each other, one has a clearly recognizable brand identity, while the other brand is failing. By analyzing and comparing the visual content of these two brands, we will be able to detect errors that may be critical to brand building and may have a negative impact on the perception of the potential clients with the result of brand extinction. In the result of the thesis, we should be able to confirm the importance of using semiotic techniques in marketing...
Design And Development Of The Electrostatic Precipitator
Kvasnička, Karel
The paper brings basic information about electrostatic precipitator and it also presents main mathematical equations used for its design and development for laboratory condition. Furthermore, there is the description of experiments that can be done by laboratory precipitator in this paper.
Study of the square in České Skalice
Rejzek, Jan ; Haucek, Josef (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to design a suitable layout of the square in České Skalice. The Camera Design Development
Kuklišová, Lucia ; DVOŘÁK, Tomáš (advisor) ; ŠIMŮNEK, Michal (referee)
This thesis discusses the camera design development from its very beginning until present time. Methodological is based on a basic ideas of industrial design, cooperation of brands with specific designers and achieve goals of industrial design. In the beginning, I am trying to find a breakpoint in thinking about the cameras, moment of not-only light-sensitive material development, but also adding of new ideas of camera ergonomics, the functional elements of the marking symbol or extra aesthetic value and mapping the effects and conditions to which it was formed. It contains substantial cooperation with world famous brands (Kodak, Leica, Hasselblad, Pentax ...), their theoretical basis and problems, concerning media images linked to the samples as well.
The analysis of erors in the design of geometrical constructions.
Kozubek, Jan ; Kvasz, Ladislav (advisor) ; Vondrová, Naďa (referee)
An error analysis that may appear in the process of a design of problems solved by geometrical constructions is shis diplomas subject. The design of the geometrical construction is described as a cardinal part of searching for ideal solving strategy. In the theoretical part of the thesis there are characterized crucial terms related to the subject (geometrical construction, design of a consruction and error in the design), various ways of their defining and diverse approaches to these terms. An experiment exploring errors in a design of a geometrical construction made by second grade pupils of a grammar school with eight-year study program was designed. Construction designs errors were analysed by sorting according to their features and their possible causes were described. Suggestions of error applications in following geometry lessons arise from this analysis. Keywords: construction problems, geometrical construction, design of a construction, error in the design, causes of errors
Tradicionalismus na vysokých školách a v praxi: urbanismus, architektura, sochařství, ornament, malířství a design
Adamec, Emil
Traditionalism combines urbanism, architecture, sculpture, ornament, painting, and design into one complex. According to statistics, the public favours traditional architecture and urbanism. Traditional design, computer technology, a scientific approach to theory, ornament in architecture, and scaling in urbanism are the proposed solutions here. Vitruvius, Palladio, Camillo Sitte, Léon Krier, Roger Scruton or Nikos A. Salingaros, medieval cities, and imperial or New Urbanism offer sustainability, and quality design. In heritage conservation, traditionalism provides an alternative to the Venice Charter and the Athens Charter. Accredited schools of architecture, art and design will be asked whether traditionalism is being taught at their institutions. Workshops and courses in traditionalism for students might support a specialized field of study, interdisciplinary cooperation and exchange between schools. Keeping local traditions is important for human existence, cultural maturity and a healthy lifestyle.

In the thesis, we will focus on the Gunter Kress ́ theory of multimodality and, in this context, we will focus on the contents of the Brand manual, which is the key to brand building. Attention will be paid to semiotic analysis of logos, utilization of images and photos, colors and fonts and other components important for creating a visual marketing strategy. In the empirical section, two similar brands will be introduced, on which the single modes will be demonstrated and analyzed. Although the two brands are similar to each other, one has a clearly recognizable brand identity, while the other brand is failing. Also, the second brand obviously does not follow the Brand manual. By analyzing and comparing the visual content of these two brands, we will be able to detect errors that may be critical to brand building and may have a negative impact on the perception of the potential clients with the result of brand extinction. In the result of the thesis, we should be able to confirm the importance of using...
Mobile Application for Finding Meeting Participant Photos
Červený, Martin ; Bartl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)

The result is a functional mobile application that is tested with aspect to usability of the user interface.
Extension of Unity Development Platform for Visual Programming
Horký, Lukáš ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to create an extension for Unity Development Platform that will allow creation of computer games from design of game logic to scene programming on visual level. The extension forms an abstract layer between designers, who manage game objects on logic level, and programmers, who are responsible for implementation of parts that can't be created automatically. It then facilitates some designing processes and iterations by eliminating the need of manual programming in places that can by automate and allows to concentrate on the design process itself.
