This thesis focuses on the demographic analysis of fertility in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Italy and Portugal. It compares the results with an analysis of the availability of pre-school facilities. Its aim is to propose an optimal strategy for the distribution of a network of private kindergartens among the selected countries as a form of profit-generating business. The intention is to evaluate, on the basis of projections, the states with the greatest potential for the application of entrepreneurship in future years.

Fertility of women aged 35 and over in selected European countries ABSTRACT This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of fertility postponement in Europe. It focuses on the fertility of woman aged 35 and over of age in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Spain and Norway between 2010 and 2020. It describes the postponement of fertility in a historical context, influencing factors, risks associated with women's fertility at the age of 35+, childlessness, and fertility differentiation by age. The method of analysis is fertility demographic analysis from a transversal perspective. The thesis examines fertility trends of women aged 35 and over, as well as the current similarities and differences in the fertility of older women in the studied countries. Data analysis showed that in all studied countries and years, the proportion of the fertility intensity of women aged 35 and over to the total fertility rate is increasing. Being an Older Mother: Metamorphoses of Late Motherhood from the Foundation of Czechoslovakia up to the Present Abstract The doctoral thesis gives a macro-structural view of the metamorphoses of late motherhood, here defined as motherhood of women aged over 35, as they have occurred in the Czech lands between 1920 and 2015. The study examines to which extent the reflection of late motherhood in selected professional and feminine / lifestyle periodicals converges with the findings derived from demographic data analysis. For this purpose, a mixed methods research has been conducted to link the conclusions from quantitative analysis of demographic data (demographic analysis and binary logistic regression) to those from qualitative and quantitative media analyses (discourse and content analyses). As the study shows, the development of late motherhood in the Czech lands varies across a range of possible perceptions in the media, levels and fertility rates. The thesis shows a strong coherence between the perception of late motherhood in the media and conclusions drawn from the demographic data analysis, which are consistent for most of the observed years. The consequences of aging population in regions of the Czech Republic

In recent decades, the fact of an aging population has become one of the most discussed phenomena in all economically developed countries. Its main consequence is the increasing number of people relying on the assistance of another person. The goal of this thesis is to provide quantitative estimation and suggestions of the possible future need for social services for the elderly within the Czech Republic as such and also with the reference to the evolution of the situation in individual regions of the country. The introductory chapter deals with the demographic development of population in the Czech Republic and in all its regions individually, on the basis of which an obvious and steady trend of population aging is confirmed in the past and future years. The second chapter focuses on the characteristic of regional facilities in selected social services as well as on the costs and financing of such services. On the grounds of findings from the previous chapter, the final chapter is dedicated to the estimation of the future evolution of the care recipients in the senior age groups in all regions in the Czech Republic. All this consistently on the basis of the projection of the evolution of the population until the year 2050 and projections of the structure of the beneficiaries of care allowance by level of the dependence in the year 2010. The result of the analysis indicates that the existing capacity of social services for elderly will not be sufficient due to the trend of aging population. With regard to that fact, some possible measures, that could be a future source of a solution of this unfavorable situation, are suggested in the conclusion of this thesis.

Demographic analysis of the city Decin, focused on social services

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current demographic situation in the city Decin with basic demographic indicators, also describe the social services provided to seniors in this city and by using population projections to estimate future development in this area and outline possible solutions in the social services. The work consists of two parts: theoretical and analytical. The first part explains the used demographic terms and methods, especially projection, there are also shown the characteristics of social services provided to seniors in Decin . The second part consists mainly of demographic analysis and population projection based on data from the Czech Statistical Office. The result of the analysis says that there will be the aging of population in Decin and population decrease as well as in the whole Czech Republic. This situation will strongly affect the area of social services this is why it is need to be solved now.

Demographic analysis of the Hradec Králové region

This bachelor thesis analyzes the Hradec Králové region in 2013. The first chapter covers the history and the characterization of the area. Further, the thesis uses demographic processes and methods which were employed for the purposes of this analysis. The second part consists of demographic analysis of the Czech Republic in 2013 and its comparison with the districts of the region Hradec Králové using data from the Czech Statistical Office official web pages. The analysis is presented with the help of population structure, the natural and net migration, marriage and divorce rate. The next chapter deals with the population projection which results in the ageing trend of the population. That is why the important social services for seniors are described in the chapter as well. Such services are not sufficient in the present days and one will have to solve this problem in the future.

Demographic and social development of the South Bohemia Region

On the basis of a complex demographic analysis the thesis defines the areas in South Bohemia, where is apparent a specific development of demographic indicators and tries to find the main causes and consequences of these differences. From the perspective of the demographic indicators state the position of the South Bohemian Region is compared with other regions in the Czech Republic. On the basis of the demographic analysis is created a SWOT analysis of demographic trends of the South Bohemia population. In the final section there are explored impacts of demographic trends on the provision of social services for elderly and impacts on education and medical system in response to changes in the demographic structure of the population of the South Bohemia Region.

Socioeconomic analysis of Central Bohemia region

This diploma describes basic socioeconomic characterictics of Region of Central Bohemia. It focuses mainly on demography, labour market, social and technical infrastructure and macroeconomics in this region. In theoretical part are mentioned the basic facts from these branches. In analytical part are described time progress mainly in years 2000 -- 2006, comparsion of subregions in Region of Central Bohemia, comparsion of other regions in Czech Republic and the dependence between indicators of particular parts. From knowledges has been made SWOT analysis and has been suggested arrangements for following developement of the region.
