Analysis of Old-ahe pension schemes

Master Thesis Analysis of Old-age Pension Schemes provides comparison of pay-as-you-go system and funding pensions from the theoretical point of view. Comparison is made assuming constant population and population under demographic crisis as well. Next issue is a demographic development of the Czech republic. The thesis answers the question whether demographic crisis in the Czech republic occurs. The last part of the thesis analyses the current pension system of the Czech republic assuming analysed development of population growth.
Sustainability of the pension reform in Slovakia

This paper explores the sustainability of pension system in Slovakia on the local institutional, socio- economic and political background, analyzing the past and current reforms and their impact on public finance. In the first, theoretical part of the paper, the World Bank strategy is sketched out to provide general framework for sustainability of reforms and their goals, and actual past reforms that took place in Slovakia from 2004 until present are dissected. These reforms are most notable for their reorientation from pure pay-as-you-go system to combined PAYG and fully funded system. While this step alleviates the crushing implicit social security debt to some extent, it is shown that not even the latest reforms alone will suffice to cover the increasing burden of the pension system on public spending. Therefore, in the empirical part of the paper, several parametric reforms are proposed and are analyzed from long term perspective (until 2100) using the World Bank PROST economic model. Pensions in Czech republic - progress and causes of changes

The aim of this work is to analyze the influence of reforms on the pension account balance (macroeconomic perspective), with the intent to show the most importatnt changes and their cause based on observations (data reported by CSO, SOSR and other available data). Then compare the process of reform in the Czech republic and Slovakia.
Immigration as a possible solution for the current demographic crisis in Japan

The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the current demographic situation in Japan (mainly to explore the processes of migration in Japan and its impact on the demographic situation in the country). Specifically, this thesis analyzes the current demographic crisis and migration processes over the past century and then demonstrates, on the basis of theoretical knowledge, possible solutions to this crisis within the context of the premise of possible future development through external migration as a priority solution.
