Analysis of Defects on PCB Using X - Plane Method
Mlýnek, M.
Using x – ray is one way for analyzing structural defects on PCB and lead components. X – Plane method is based on making individual 2D slices within a sample from top to bottom, front to back and left to right. There is no need to cut or destroy sample. X – Plane method works at high magnification. Method is showing position and size of voids or cracks, identifying head on pillow, open joint and other defects.
Testing process and quality of application for banking systems
Hanesová, Andrea ; Vencovský, Filip (advisor) ; Eichlerová, Hana (referee)
Testing is an important part of the software development of bank systems. Agile methodologies today are becoming more popular among computer programmers when developing software for bank institutions. The waterfall development on the other hand is becoming less attractive. The difference between them is in their approach to particular stages of development. This thesis focuses on the testing stage and illustrates this phase on a specific project. There is also a definition of testing processes in a project and his place in development, the role of test team and its responsibilities, and also problems which can be caused by choosing one of the methodologies.
Testing methodology according to international practices and standards
Králová, Iveta ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Doležel, Michal (referee)
There are many methodologies in the field of software engineering that focus on the entire software development process. The software development process aims to provide a quality product that meets user requirements, and to deliver it on time as well as within budget. Testing is a tool for verifying the quality of software and serves as feedback in software development. Most software development methodologies are available only in English, they emphasize the actual software development and address testing only marginally. An accurately designed testing process however, may contribute to higher software quality and avoid potential problems resulting from the entire information system's failure. Current Czech methodology that focuses exclusively on testing has been developed either inside individual companies and thus is not accessible to the public, or is contained in graduate theses, where it was typically created by adapting and expanding the existing software development methodologies for testing within a particular company or team. The main objective of this thesis is to establish a methodology for testing in Czech, which is based on international practices and standards, which is not tailored to a specific organization and which can be used as guidance in defining test processes in various organizations, regardless of their specific focus. The proposed methodology is also implemented in the tool EPF Composer that enables administration of methodology and its publication in the form of the website. The thesis also pursues additional objectives. In order to verify the objective of developing a standardized testing methodology is met, the thesis strives to produce a subsequent evaluation methodology using a standardized process framework in order to improve the testing process as well as a summary detailing which areas may be the subject of further expansion methodology. The theoretical part of the thesis aims to evaluate software development methodologies in terms of testing, to provide an overview of standards related to testing and to describe selected standards, to clarify the purpose of certification in testing and to analyze the possibilities of utilizing materials to prepare for the ISTQB certification. The objectives were achieved by analyzing the available materials for ISTQB certification, analyzing software development methodologies, standards, the TMMi procedural framework and other resources that deal with testing as well as its methodologies and standards. The main contribution of this work is a testing methodology, which is based on the testing process as defined by the international organization ISTQB. It provides a methodological framework by interconnecting and expanding individual methodological elements. Elements of the methodology include working products, as specified by the methodology with respect to the IEEE 829 standard. The methodology does not depend on the needs of a particular company and may be easily adopted, managed and customized. It may be used as a starting point in creating a testing strategy in Czech companies focused on software development which are interested in approaching testing in compliance with international practices.
Operational Excellence
Ostertag, Richard ; Voráček, Jan (advisor) ; Menoušková, Eva (referee)
Focus of this thesis is to introduce methods used within the concept of Operational Excellence, being one of possible approaches to manage business processes, and subsequent application of these methods to accounting operations of a concrete company. Using application of these methods, thesis aims to evaluate quality of the process outputs as well as the utilization rate of available labor resources within analyzed business unit. Concrete suggestions to improve quality of process outputs and to optimize utilization of labor resources are proposed as the outcome of this thesis.
Communication with visually handicapped people

The purpose of this work is to illustrate the way how visually handicapped people communicate and how should one communicate with them.
Method of Six Sigma as a instrument for improving processes and solution of selected process
Wolfram, David ; Voráček, Jan (advisor) ; Kincl, Tomáš (referee)
The Bachelor Degree Thesis 'Method of Six Sigma as the instrument for improving processes and solution of selected process' focuses on analyzing the process of a chosen project by means of selected project management methods as well as on evaluating its effectiveness. The first part of this thesis presents a description of selected approaches towards project management, while the second section analyses relevant problem relating to management of a chosen project and brings in possible solutions proposed.

The legal regulation of consumer protection, specifically the regulation of liability for product defects
Popeláková, Klára ; Kotoučová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Petr (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the question of consumer protection, specifically with the regulation of liability for product defects, eventually with liability for damage caused by the product defect. The reader will learn especially how to act when a product defect appears, then in what term he has to apply his rights or by whom and under which conditions. This topic is made clear not only by using quotations of the law but also by showing on examples and experiences. The list of most common fraud practices of sellers is also mentioned. In this thesis, you can also find some information about consumer organizations -- what is their goal or how to contact them. At the end I analyzed how well the consumers know their rights. I created a form where people could choose from more answers the right one. In my survey took part more than one hundred people.
