Roof structure of terminal building

The supporting structure of the roof of terminal building is designed as a combination of trusses glued laminated timber, purlins and columns of solid wood and steel poles supports and rods. Truss is mounted on steel columns and supported by steel lattice structures and wooden pillars.

Dolní Kounice Gym

This bachelor’s thesis deals with a gym design in Dolní Kounice. It is developed into the level of building permit documentation and documentation for execution of the project. Its land is located in the north side of Dolní Kounice in the South Moravian Region near a primary school and a kindergarten. From the south side, the area is bordered by multi-storey buildings of the primary school and the kindergarten. From the west and the east sides, the area is edged with buildings of wine cellar or just with entrances into these cellars. In the north side there is an area of old brickyard. On the land of the gym there is a current outdoor playground of the primary school with an artificially created surface, a parking place and a fenced playground of the kindergarten. The space is intersected by an access road leading to the cellars in the west part. Along the edge of the east side there is a driveway leading to the local brickyard and it continues to the area of past sand quarry above the municipality. The gym is designed especially for the needs of the local primary school and the kindergarten, then for public. The gym will serve not only for teaching the physical education but also for sport and social usage of residents of the municipality. This work covers a scheme of solutions of ambient outdoor areas of the gym. The sport hall is a reinforced concrete cast-in-place two-floor building of a block shape mostly below the level of ground as a response to the valley type of countryside created by ambient buildings of wine cellars, the steep slope behind them and the high-rise building of the primary school which closes this area. The entrance into this area is located in the south part of the first subterranean floor which is not below the level of the adjacent terrain. The first subterranean floor is designed mainly for organizing educational, social activities and for the fans of the sportsmen. Also, there is a large entrance hall with a multifunctional reception.

Architectural Study of the Church / Spiritual Center / "Sending the Holy Spirit" in Vinohrady-Brno.

The topic of the bachelor thesis was to design a new building of Descent of the Holy Spirit Church in Brno – Líšeň (housing estate Vinohrady). Firstly, this task has been already solved as part of atelier work focusing on interior. Later, the engineering and construction solution was developed during this thesis. The aim was to design a decent place for celebration the holly Mass and for meeting the parish community, which shows its architectural, constructional, layout and art solution on the spiritual and transcendental aspect of the whole building. The Church is connected with Salesians, operating in Líšeň, which devote themselves to youth. The architecture of building is based on character of sacral and public building, and on bible motives too. The Church reminds a ship, which symbolizes the Church in the world, powered by the Holy Spirit. It shows the vocation of the first disciples – fishermen and worldwide presence of Salesians. The basilical lighting used in the main ship of the church refers to the first Christian buildings – the basilicas. The building is situated in specific environment – housing estate, on the top of the hill. It is divided into one-storey-high main ship based on an elliptic plan (building is two-storey-high in choir), which is rounded by the roof made from glued wooden timbers. Two lower block objects, containing the church facilities (sacristy, chapel, room for parents and children, sanitary facilities, etc.), are adjacent to the main ship. To the object is added the monumental entrance in the place of the main ship and a standalone tower – belfry, which makes the vertical dominant of the landscape. The horizontal axis is oriented in the north-south, the main entrance is situated in the north from the Horníkova street. Multi-funkcional building, Brno - Kraví hora

Poly-functional building focused on ecology and education. It is situated in recreational place in Brno, Kravi hora. On the side of the hill with great view for the city centre. The exact location of the object at the plot respect natural conditions. So it is partly covered under ground which works like protection from the north side and creates harmony with the place. The south and east sides are wide open for solar profits. Use of materials respect this as well. Concrete wall covered with stone at the cool side and on the other side opened wooden construction and glass. The flat green roof is accessible with perfect view. The building and terrain creates by its northern side protected place for the outdoor amphitheatre with technical support included in the building.

Technological Solution of the Roofing of a Detached House in Nový Malín

The bachelor thesis deals with the technological solution of the roofing of detached house in Nový Malín, of saddle roof in particular. The thesis deals with the design of a wooden supporting structure and the design of the roof cladding with superstructure insulation. The work contains the technical report, site plan, bill of quantities, technological regulation, budget, solution of the construction organization, time schedule, design of the machine assembly, control and test plan, safety of the solved phase and economic evaluation of the variant roofing solution.

Sport Centre Za Lužánkami Brno

A specialized project of „Sports center behind Lužánky Brno“ preceded the diploma thesis. The aim of the project was to develop a comprehensive urban architectural plan with an emphasis on the urban context, transport services, functionality, etc. The diploma thesis develops a previous project and elaborates the compound of the sport center in a form of a study. As a result, there is a building that combines a recreational and social function due to sports halls, restaurants, clubs and residential atrium. The object is divided in three parts, the middle one is used for a main communicative area that connects the other parts of the building.

Extension of the sports centre in Slopné, technological stage of roofing

The bachelor thesis deals with the technological stage of the roofing of the sports centre extension in the village of Slopné. It is the construction of a multi-purpose building, which extends the capacity of the existing community centre. The extension consists of ground floor parts and a main hall/gymnasium with multifunctional use. The content of the work includes a technical report for the roofing, a solution for the transport of materials, a technological regulation for the assembly work of the roofing of the hall, an itemized budget for the roofing and a timetable for the specified technological stage, an inspection and testing plan and a solution for occupational safety in the process.
