The Rieman integral and its applications
VOPÁLENSKÁ, Lenka
The main goal of my diploma work on the topic "The Riemann integral and its applications" is to create an overview that describes the individual use of the Riemann integral. The first three chapters deal with the history, the definition of the Riemann integral and with the calculation of integration. There is the overview of the individual use in the fourth chapter (area plane region, length plane curve, volume solid of revolution and area lateral surface solid of revolution) that is accompanied by solved examples, the examples are accompanied by graphical representation for a better idea. In the fifth chapter there is a collection of unsolved examples, for practising of the individual use. The collection is complemented by results for the reader to check the accuracy of calculation.
Applications of integral calculus in natural and technical sciences with regard to teaching high school
VACKOVÁ, Helena
This thesis discusses the applicability of the Riemann integral in natural and technical sciences. The work is divided into three parts: introduction, theory and applicability of the Riemann integral. The introductory part deals with the history of the integral up to the 17th century. The theoretical part consists of the introduction of the Riemann integral, its properties, classes of integrable functions and curve length definitions. The main theorems and definitions needed for calculations are presented. The second part of the thesis deals with the applicability of the Riemann integrals in physics and mechanics. It contains general formula derivations for calculating some physical and technical variables. The Riemann integral is also used to determine the static moments and center of gravity of a homogeneous planar board.
Define integral in Economics
ČERMÁK, Pavel
In thesis task there was mentioned little bit of indefinite integral theory and computation methods. After that was described the definite integral theory, its properties, computation methods, first of all the Newton-Leibniz formulary, and its connection with indefinite integral. Then was shown where is possible to use definite integral on examples in mathematics. The most important part of the thesis is the application of definite integral theory on examples in economics. Each subchapter is occupied by one application. At the beginning of each part the rough description of economics view is contained. Then is defined an equation eventually equations for computing. All of this is demonstrated on examples.
