Consumer testing in the Czech Republic

The gain of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate realization and the awareness of consumer testing in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis is aimed at consumer in the Czech Republic, his rights and responsibilities. The main part is focused on consumer protection, its legal regulation and consumer organizations in the Czech Republic. The important part of thesis contain consumer testing, realization, consumer organizations, which create consumer testing and media which publish these tests. The practical part is dedicated to the Czech citizen and its perceiving of consumer protection and consumer organizations. The practical part is based on consumer testing, how people from the Republic trust the results, which topics are the most important for them and how they know media which publish results of testing, newspapers, magazines, TV or online show.

Apart from the theoretical information overview available today on the issue of sustainable development, business innovation and a healthy lifestyle, you can find a practical part in an diploma thesis. In the first half of the practical section there is an overview of activities of some Czech and foreign retailers and consumer organizations towards sustainability. In the second half there is a project designed for a specific shopping center in Budweis. The project is supported by an online marketing research and its task is to design consultancy and information center. It will be located precisely in shopping center in Budweis and will serve its customers as a place where customers will be able not only to obtain information on sustainable development, but also take the opportunity to learn in this field.
Specified problems of consumer protection

Problems of consumer protection are always on the surface and they concern all of us. Consumer protection should not only be important for consumers, but for all of society as well. The aim of consumer protection is the existence of convenient consumer rights, supervisory institutions and consumer organizations. The task of these consumer organizations is giving information, advising and educating consumers. The well-educated and informed consumer will be equal partners with sellers, who are claiming (reporting) their law or legal rights. My work, for the most part consists of claims and responsibility for problems in the Tábor region. The aim of this work is discovering if the residents of the Tábor region know their consumer rights. From my marketing research, in the form of a questionaire, most consumers know where to find information in the field of consumer protection (the most important source is the internet). They also know their rights and know how to protect these rights. An active approach of consumers and a fair approach of sellers will help us to build a society in which morality, honesty, rights and justice are the first priority.
Possibilities of Utilization of Market Research by Consumer

The diploma thesis offers a view of the present state of affairs in the field of consumer protection in the Czech Republic and France. It contains a detailed analysis of activities of a Czech and a French consumer organization. It also suggests possible service improvements and expansion of their activities on the basis of a survey conducted among Czech consumers.
