Business and cultural specifics of Spain

This bachelor thesis examines the business and cultural specifics of Spain and describes the connection between them. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first chapter deals with the basic information on the country, such as demography, history, politics and economics. The second part discusses culture, based on cultural dimensions by G. Hosfede it describes the Spanish culture and it compares further on the dimensional indexes for Czech Republic and Spain. The following chapter describes Spanish commercial etiquette and negotiation, and there it also studies the status of women in business. The last chapter analyses a particular case of business negotiation and explicates the outcome of questionnaire research on commercial culture among Spanish citizens.

The thesis describes commercial relationship between Slovak company Pastorkalt, a.s. and its Russian partners. Gives the description of Pastorkalt, a.s. and focuses on characteristics of the company Expoholod, with which Pastorkalt, a.s. cooperates on the Russian market. The thesis describes actual situation on the Russian market on wholesale and retail field and characterizes particularities of the market. Part of the thesis is dedicated to theoretical ways of dealing with Russian partners, which are then compared with experience of the Slovak company Pastorkalt, a.s.
The influence of cultural differences on the business negotiation between the Czech Republic and India

The aim of the thesis is to analyse cultural differences between Czech republic and India and its possible influence on business negotiation and co-operation between these two countries. The thesis dedicates to economy as key sector of the mutual relationships and consequently to cultural dimensions of Geert Hofstede. Accordong to these cultural dimensions the countries are compared. The characteristic features and specifics of the indian culture are explained in the thesis too. The last chapter describes the principles of the commercial negotiation in India.
