Selected algorithms for colour control
Karásek, Michal ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The Bachelor's thesis work follows the selected algorithms of the colour management. In the first part it adverts to the basis of the colour perception itself and explains the top important notion - colour event. Further it follows the issue of colour utilization in the computers and individual colour models. It deals with colour management, in the concrete by a transfer of gamuts from one facility to another one. In the next part the implementation of ICC profiles is analyzed, as well as the comparison of single methods of the gamut transfer and practical utilization of these transfers in computer programme Matlab.
Road Surface Detection
Melichar, Jiří ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis deals with a method for road surface detection in picture and is inspired by work of S. Thrun and H. Dahlkamp. The method works with color models of road, which are adjusted to changing environment. Then these models are used to classify the picture. Output of this is the detected road. The method is thoroughly analyzed, implemented and tested. Test results are discussed and proposals for improvements are presented.
Face Detection in Video
Kolman, Aleš ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
The project is focused on face detection in video. Firstly, it contains a summary of basic color models. Secondly, you can find the description and comparison of the basic methods for detection of human skin with a practical example of implementation of parametric detector. Thirdly, a theoretical basis for face detection and face tracking in a video containing a list of basic concepts and methods of this issue follows. Greater emphasis is placed on the description of machine learning algorithm AdaBoost and description of the possible application of the Kalman filter for the purpose of face tracking. Design, implementation and testing of library accomplished within the master thesis are listed in the final part of this thesis.
Algorithms in colour management
Stecík, Július ; Mach, Václav (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis briefly discusses the issues of color perception and effects associated with it. Further describes color model and its mathematical definition, which are used by color management. Briefly analyzes important elements of ICC profile. In second part two java applications were designed and programmed. First one evaluates visible spectrum and graphically demonstrate procedure for obtaining trichromacy information from this spectrum. Second application analyzes ICC profile and derives gamut of described device.
Smoke and Fire Detection in Video Sequences
Tomek, Peter ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Švub, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis aims to analyse a videosignal given in input and find segments that contains fire or smoke. The problem is divided into two cases-detection of fire and detection of smoke. The first and main step of analysation is detection of segments by Gaussian mixture model that is trained by Expectation-Maximization algorithm, or shortly EM algorithm. For smoke detection is than used method of optical flow. The final segments are than processed by some morphological methods and determination of their position is made. Finally, the output of algorithm is again a videosignal in which segments that probably contains fire or smoke are highlighted.
Advanced picture segmentation for 3D view
Baletka, Tomáš ; Fliegel, Karel (referee) ; Boleček, Libor (advisor)
The thesis advanced image segmentation for 3D image deals with segmentation and anaglyph 3D views. In the theoretical part of the thesis describes the different approaches were used to image segmentation and closely related methods of image processing. In the following practical part was the implementation of selected methods and created user-friendly applications. The main objective of the program is to identify significant objects in the image. For the purpose of segmentation methods have been implemented based on k-means method, the method of contour and the growth of seeds. The program is created in Visual Studio 2008 and written in C + +. The input and output is the image in various formats (JPG, BMP, TIFF).
Interactive web applications for education of color theory
Koroleva, Anfisa ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of interpretation of colors and color images in computer graphics. Specifically, the work is focused on the development of simple web applications – applets that will serve for interactive submission of methods used in the field of computer processing of color images. The created applets should demonstrate the relevant theory relating to color mixing in different color models, conversion of a color image to a gray-scale image, conversion of a gray-scale image to a false-color image, conversion of physical light into CIE XYZ and L*a*b* color spaces. The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical basis for the required applets. The following practical part is dedicated to the process of implementing the applets using JavaScript and HTML.
Image similarity based on colour
Hampl, Filip ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Uher, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with image similarity based on colour. There are discussed necessary theoretical basis for better understanding of this topic. These basis are color models, that are implemented in work, principle of creating the histogram and its comparing. Next chapter deals with summary of recent progress in the field of image comparison and overview of several most used methods. Practical part introduces training image database, which gives results of success for each created method. These methods are separately described, including their principles and achieved results. In the very end of this work, user interface is described. This interface provides a transparent presentation of the results for the chosen method.
Gamut mapping algorithms in color management
Svoboda, Jan ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with colors - their representation in digital devices and how to provide the best color preservation accross different devices. In the first part of the work, the knowledge of colors and human vision is briefly summarized. Then color models and color spaces are elaborated, mainly those device independent. Spectrum of colors viewable or printable on a device - the gamut - is different for every device and there's a need of precise reproduction or record of color. That's why the system of color management is described further and especially the gamut mapping approaches and algorithms are mentioned. In the second part of the work, the implementation of how two algorithms of color gamut mapping (HPMINDE, SCLIP) can be implemented in MATLAB is described. In the third and last part of the work, the results of implemented algorithms are presented and discussed. These results are compared to results of commonly used color gamut mapping technique (Adobe Photoshop).
Lossless Light Field Compression
Navrátil, Robert ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis is focused on lossless light-field images compression, where it could be viable to extend common predictors into more dimensions. First chapter is regarding to essential theory about light-field images and 4D light-field, which is followed by description of every predictor and coder. With this is connected description of used compression pipeline. Last chapters contains description of solution and differences between every predictor result and theirs dimensional variant. At the end the results are compared with PNG. The result is that some 4D variants of implemented predictors have better compression rate than PNG.
