Visual identity of the virtual city

This thesis is a continuation of an essay developed in the context of the bachelor thesis Les (2020) on graphical user interfaces and infographics. At the same time, the thesis is based on a prototype of a digital game Studna. In detail, it focuses on one of the segments of game development, namely visual communication. The aim of the work is to find a stylized visual vocabulary in relation to architecture, narrative design, gameplay and responsiveness in the context of navigation. The textual part looks for examples of more sophisticated ways of conveying information in existing video game titles. The practical part proposes a methodology that draws inspiration from design and industrial architecture from the 19th-20th century, including illustration and painting approaches. The proposed methodology verifies whether the applied approaches are suitable for further use in practice.

TITLE: German-Czech meetings in books written by Martin Becker and Jaroslav Rudiš SUMMARY: The subject of this thesis is the analysis of the collective literary output of the two young authors - German writer Martin Becker and his Czech friend Jaroslav Rudiš. A part of my thesis concerns also with their lives and their works. The object is to find Czech motives in the work and life of Martin Becker and influence of German culture on the books of Jaroslav Rudiš, to concern on typical characteristics and analysis of their collective works. In my thesis I arrive at the conclusion that the Czech stay, interest in Czech language and literature reflect in works of Becker, in the similar way are books of Rudiš influenced by his interest in German authors, art, history, German language and other. The Cobra Movement in the Context of Art of the 40s and early 50s.

This work deals with the experimental art group Cobra which united artists of three countries - Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands, after the World War II. Although this movement was active only between the years 1948 and 1951, the beginning of this group can be traced in the pre-war period when the future members of the group were influenced by the mainstream art movements. Similarly, we cannot see the year 1951 as the end of the importance of this international art formation. Despite the short duration, the group united number of artists from different countries who then influenced many of future artists and art movements. This work therefore mentions the activity of Cobra members before the actual establishment of the group, attempts to describe in detail its work during its existence, and lastly, it indicates its further heading. A special chapter is dedicated to the connection of the group Cobra to the Czech art. The artists of Cobra drew their main inspiration from the work of arts of specific groups, such as that of children, mentally ill, so called primitive nations, or from the folk art. Alongside that, the artists created their own unique style based on collective and spontaneous work and liberal art expression. of the diploma thesis The exercise of copyright by a person other than the author (heir of the author) The diploma thesis The exercise of copyright by a person other than the author (heir of the author) deals with the Czech legal framework of a work created by an employee and a collective work in terms of their specific position in the Czech legal framework resulting from the legal restriction of the exercise of the exclusive economic rights of an author and partly the exclusive moral rights of an author of a work within broader context with the German legal framework of a work created by an employee and a collective work, and with the legal framework copyright of the United States of America, especially a work created by employee under the legal doctrine "Work made for hire" and a collective work. The aim of the diploma thesis is to anchor the Czech legislation in a broader sense by including the conservative German legislation based on the continental legal system and by including the legislation of the United States of America symptomatic of the common legal system. A work made by an employee, upon an order and a collective work Abstract This thesis deals with the topic of commissioned works protected by copyright; more specifically, with the issue of works made by employees, works made upon order and collective works. The aim of the thesis is to examine the Czech legal regulation of these works and assess how the Czech Copyright Act manages to balance the conflicting interests of the author on one side and the employer or ordering party on another. The thesis consists of six chapters. In order to put the issue of commissioned works in a broader context of the Czech copyright law, the introductory part of the thesis is dedicated to explanation of some of the essential principles and rationale of the Czech regulation of copyright, as these directly impact the regulation of commissioned works. The first chapter deals with the concept of a work protected by copyright (author's work). The second chapter clarifies the notion of author of the work within the meaning of the Czech Copyright Act. The third chapter concerns the subjective rights of the author of the work, especially the different nature of the economic and moral rights included in copyright.
