Music education as a means to improve classroom climate

The diploma thesis deals with the use of music education as a means of improving the classroom climate at the first grade of primary school. The aim is to map a wide range of music education activities and propose specific music education activities that will contribute to the positive development of classroom climate. The theoretical part first introduces the developmental characteristics of the young school-age child, especially cognitive, emotional and social development. Next, it defines key concepts related to classroom climate and the basic principles of music education at the first grade of primary school. It also analyzes and specifies music education activities that promote overall well- being in the classroom. The educational activities are divided into five areas that are key in forming a quality classroom climate. The practical part focuses on transforming the classroom climate through the implementation of the aforementioned music education activities in practice. The research results are evaluated through a questionnaire survey. The final part of the thesis summarizes the findings and provides suggestions for pedagogical practice that can be applied for the effective use of music education as a tool for improving the classroom climate at the first grade of primary school. Aspects of promoting well-being in primary school with focus on exceptionally gifted students

This thesis focuses on the wellbeing of students in education. Specifically, it concerns pupils of two parallel classes attending a primary school with a specific organization of education for exceptionally gifted pupils. The aim of the paper is to capture the pupil`s subjective feelings in relation to aspects of the school environment that have been implemented to promote pupil`s wellbeing. The first part of the thesis includes a theoretical background that summarizes the knowledge on the issue of wellbeing. It focuses on the aspects that may influence wellbeing in education, taking into account the teaching of exceptionally gifted pupils. The second part of the thesis contains a description and results of the actual research investigation, which was conducted in two stages. The first stage of the research investigation used a quantitative method of data collection through a questionnaire, the respondents were pupils in two parallel classes at a selected primary school. Based on the analysis of the results of the first stage of the research survey, the basis for the questions for the second stage of the research survey was created. Support for a novice class teacher in high school

This diploma theses is focused on support of class teachers on the beginning of their career in high schools, generally, the core of this work is its competences necessary for the performance of this function and the duties connected with it, its legislative framework. I chose this topic as i am a class teacher for the first time. And would like to do this work with high responsibility. Meanwhile I'm inspired by more experienced colleagues, whose advice are very precious to me. The aim of this work is to cover the topic of competences of class teachers in secondary vocational schools. To include the aspect of socialization - adaptation of class team, social structure of the class, education of this social group. In the empirical part of this work is case study of class teachers and their work experiences. Semi structured interviews are mapping demands of fulfilling their duties, personal experience in positive and negative aspect. i conducted these semi structured interviews in private high school with two class teachers.
