Functional Safety for Microcontrollers
Klecker, Jan ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with the principles and mechanisms of functional safety for microcontrollers. The IEC 60730 and IEC 60335 standards are described, from which the requirements for testing of microcontroller functional blocks are derived. Furthermore, the requirements for designing safety software are discussed. The most important chapter of the theoretical part is the design and discussion of functional safety tests for the given peripherals. In the practical part, a demo hardware of a gas boiler with safety features and diagnostic mechanisms controlled by two NXP KV46 microcontrollers communicating via a UART interface is designed. In the software chapter, the design of the application software for the gas boiler is described and then functional safety tests are implemented for the microcontrollers. For testing and demonstration purposes, a graphical user interface is designed in the FreeMASTER tool.
Solid State Power Amplifier for the L-Band
Pecen, Vojtěch ; Vondra, Vlastimil (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
The goal of this diploma's thesis is to create a design of a two stages amplifier working in a band reserved for the secondary surveillance radar at the frequency of 1090 MHz. Output power of the amplifier should be 20 W and efficiency should be as high as possible. Because of this the second stage is designed in class C. Contents of this diploma's thesis include a theoretical analysis, simulations of the amplifier parameters, comparison of the Ansys Designer and AWR Microwave Office simulation programs and design of both stages of the amplifier, followed by a comparison of the measured parameters with the simulations.
Automotive audio amplifier and subwoofer
Kolka, René ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the project of two performance amplifiers for a subwoofer and for four basic car loud-speakers. The following part of the thesis is dealing with the power circuits of the amplifiers. The control of the amplifiers is realized by processor. The thesis is also dealing with the problems caused by sound system installation in a car, and concerns mainly with the boosters position and with producing high quality subwoofer and baffle-board.
