Rudinský, Tomáš ; Frývaldský, Pavel (advisor) ; Salvet, Ondřej (referee)
Christology in the Works of Cardinal Ján Chrysostom Korec This bachelor thesis deals with the christological analysis of the literary work of cardinal John Chrysostom Korec. Christology is a part of dogmatic theology which, through Christological reflection, becomes the source and life of the Christian faith. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and research. The first part deals with the description of the context of the times in which cardinal Korec lived a significant part of his life and which influenced his work. In this part, the thesis presents a brief biography of cardinal Korec, including a short description of his literary works. This section is enriched by a brief overview of his work and the awards that John Ch. Korec received during his lifetime. The second part provides an overview and characterization of the Christological titles used by J. Ch. Korec in his work. Subsequently, the bachelor's thesis focuses on cardinal Korec's conception of the Incarnation and his grasp and interpretation of the mystery of the Messiah. The last part of the Christological analysis is a brief characterization of the theology of the cross and resurrection in Korec's work. For better understanding and clarity, the thesis concludes with a comprehensive summary of the Christology of John...
The Council of Chalcedon and its position in the history of Christology
Blahová, Andrea ; Ventura, Václav (advisor) ; Milko, Pavel (referee)
This diploma thesis will deal with one of the most important church councils in antiquity, which significantly influenced the further development of Christianity and whose conclusions became, among other things, the immediate cause of the First Great Schism of the church. Its starting point will be the existing contradictory situation in Christian theology after the Council of Ephesus, the course and results of which I discussed in detail in my bachelor's thesis entitled Christianity and the Church in the 5th century AD from the perspective of the Council of Ephesus. In this context, the work evaluates the causes and circumstances of the convening of the Council of Chalcedon, maps its course and analyzes the specific conclusions that this, in many ways groundbreaking, church council has reached. Due to the fact that Christological issues have become one of the central themes of this 4th Ecumenical Council, attention will also be paid to this branch of Christian theology and the position which the Council of Chalcedon occupies in its history.

Danz and Schröter: Current concepts of protestant Christology
Kučera, Jiří ; Gallus, Petr (advisor) ; Roskovec, Jan (referee)
This dissertation presents current concepts of protestant Christology, primarily based on how contemporary German theologians Christian Danz and Jens Schröter formulate their Christological theses. The first two parts of the thesis present the Christological concepts of both theologians. The presentation of the two conceptions follows their distinctive character and is not primarily structured for direct comparison. The work thus also covers aspects of the two theologians that are difficult to compare. The third part of the thesis is devoted to a critical comparison of the presented Christological conceptions. The comparison highlights specific moments in both theologians, their possible contradictions, and, at times, surprising agreements. The thesis does not conclude only by stating the partial differences of the Christological conceptions but attempts to formulate some current Christological trends in a more general way. Finally, the thesis concludes with the formulation of theses that could guide the author's Christological conception.
