Uplatnění dusíku a síry při pěstování červené odrůdy cibule kuchyňské (Allium Cepa L.)
Čechalová, Markéta
The bachelor dissertation thesis entitled "Application of nitrogen and sulphur to the red variety of onion (Allium Cepa L.)" was carried out as a vegetation pot experiment. We assessed the combined application of sulphur (15.8-40-60 mg S-SO4 2-.kg-1) and nitrogen (0.6 and 1.2 g N per pot) on yields and quality of onion, variety Karmen. Onion yields increased with the applied rates of nitrogen on average by 22.8 %. By adding sulphur to nitrogen the yields were stimulated, on average, by a further 11.4-23.3 %. The content of nitrates in onions increased with the rates of nitrogen on average by 49.3%, but after the application of sulphur it decreased by 14-33%. The content of N, K, Ca and Mg was higher in the tops than in the bulbs. The contents of N and S in bulbs and tops increased with the applied rates. The N/S ratio increased with the rate of nitrogen, but narrowed after sulphur application to a desirable value below 8/1.
Effect of different management on the production, structure and chemical composition of abovegroung biomass in the Mlýnský potok catchment.
TRUHLÁŘ, Martin
The aim of the thesis is to assess the changes in production and structure of surface biomass (the proportion of grasses, clovers and other plants) and its chemical compound in scythed and pastured grass areas in the monitored areas in the Mlýnský potok basin in years 2012 and 2014. The area is situated on the right bank of Lipno dam in Pasečná land register, 784 820 meters above sea-level. There were established three permanent sampling points in the pastured as well as scythed areas in the Mlýnský potok basin. Four samples of biomass from the area of 1 sq m were collected in each of these sampling points. These were collected on 20th June 2012, 11th September 2012, 17th June 2014 and 10th September 2014. The collected biomass was then divided into agro-botanical groups (grasses, clovers and other plants) and afterwards it was dried and weighed. The chemical analysis was conducted by a certified laboratory AGRO-LA, Ltd. in Jindřichův Hradec. The aim of the analysis was to find out the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium. By assessing the development of the overall production of the biomass in 2012 and 2014 in the sampling area we found out a considerable decline of biomass in scythed areas and an increasing difference in the average amount of biomass between scythed and pastured areas during the monitored period. These findings were assessed as statistically conclusive. By assessing the development of overall proportions of the agro-botanical groups we could see a substantial decrease in grasses and on the other hand an increase of clovers and other plants in scythed areas compared to pastured areas. The difference between the proportion of grasses and other plants proved to be statistically conclusive. By assessing the development in difference of the overall average amount of nitrogen in the biomass, there emerged a considerable increase in the amount of nitrogen regardless the way of management. As far as phosphorus is concerned, we found out a decreasing difference in its amount between scythed and pastured areas. The amount of potassium was considerably lower in scythed areas, whereas calcium showed the exact opposite. Statistically conclusive were the findings of substantial increase of nitrogen in the surface biomass and also the changes in the amount of potassium and calcium due to the management. By evaluating these outcomes we confirmed that the permanent grass areas have a very variable productive and structural potential which holds true also for their chemical compound.
Evaluation of chemical composition of jerusalem artichoke tubers from autumn and spring harvest
BRABCOVÁ, Anna
This bachalor´s thesis deals with the evaluation of the chemical composition of tubers of Jerusalem artichoke for the selected set of 8 clones (Lola, Refla, Gigant, Běloslupký, Úrodný, Völkenroder Spindel, C 63, Karina). Due to the possibility of overwintering tubers in the soil, the tubers were analyzed genotypes of autumn (when dry above-ground plant matter) and then spring harvest (before the germination of tubers) were searched and any changes due to the influence of the winter. The tubers of all genotypes were analyzed for dry matter, protein content, crude protein content and the amount of nitrogen-free substances. Further, an analysis of protein profile by SDS-PAGE method. The highest dry matter content has been determined in tubers clone Gigant (29.1%) and the lowest dry matter content has been determined in tubers clone Lola (19.9%). Due to wintering have been decreased dry matter, crude protein, protein and nitrogen-free substances in the tubers of most the clones.
The quality and use of naked oats
FIŠER, Martin
The purpose of this bachelor´s thesis was summary of new knowledge about qualitative properties and possibilities of utilization of naked oats varieties and their comparison with hulled oat varieties. Naked oast excels especially in its high nutritional and energy value, in the content of essential amino acids, in high content of fats, vitamins and minerals and theirs high biological value together. These factors classify naked oats between the important components of foodstuffs for human need and between the important components of fodder for livestock too. The health significance is essential for grains of naked oat in foodstuffs and in food supplements. Naked oats finds using in many other branches of industry than in grocery only, naked oats is used, for example, in cosmetic industry, in pharmaceutical industry, in floristry possibly too. Relatively low yields of grains are balanced by a long-term, higher purchase prices which makes naked oats a strategic crop from economic aspect.
Evaluation of the intensive culture of pikeperch (Sander lucioperca) under commercial-scale conditions including the quality of the final product
JABLONICKÁ, Dagmara
The aim of this study was to evaluate the sensory, chemical (fatty acid profile, N-substances, lipid, ash) and technological (texture of meat) parameters of meat of pikeperch reared in intensive culture and compared with the fish from the pond (extensive) culture.
Morphology, chemical and toxicological characterisation of road dust and particulate matter including sources apportionment: Final report - summary
Adamec, Vladimír ; Huzlík, Jiří ; Ličbinský, Roman ; Effenberger, Karel ; Mikuška, Pavel ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Dočekal, Bohumil ; Vojtěšek, Martin
Project brought new scientific results in the field of chemical composition, physical and toxicological characterization of street dust and particulate matter. Chemical analyses and statistical methods including receptor modelling result in identification their sources.
