Awarness of students at elementary school in České Budějovice of the risk of substantive use

Bachelor thesis is primarly dedicated to the issue of addictive substances in primary schools students in the city of České Budějovice. The theoretical part is about basic concepts related to addictive substances used by young people, their prevention, risks and organizations in České Budějovice that deal with this issue. The practical part is mainly devoted to quantitative research in the form of questionnaire survey for elementary schools students in České Budějovice. The main objective of this thesis is to discover the level of knowledge and experience with addictive substances.

Background: The use of addictive substances during pregnancy is a serious health and social problem. Pregnancy is, in itself, one of the most important and most critical periods in a woman's life, and addictive substances in this case are significantly complicated. Pregnant drug addicts need complex care, paradoxically, however, they often do not have access or use it to a small extent. Objectives: The aim of this work is to map the health and social care provided to pregnant women using addictive substance. In the Czech Republic programs are being implemented for mothers with children or pregnant women using addictive substance. Programs include individual counseling, psychotherapy, relapse prevention, family and partner therapy, parent groups, mothers and social work. The aim of the thesis is to focus on the health and social care provided to this client. Methods: Research is a series of case studies of clients focusing on personal and social history, on their somatic and psychological condition, retrospective view of the course of pregnancy, care of women during pregnancy. Interventions focused on the support of family members of person with mental illness.

(English) This diploma thesis deals with the issue of mental disorders and services provided to family members of people with mental disorder within a non-profit sector. The first part includes theoretical chapters which are processed by analysing available literature. The chapters inform about mental disorder, quality of life, and describe the care of people with mental disorders - particularly social skills and communication, housing, education, employment and leisure time. The theoretical part also focuses on social work with the mentally ill and includes a role of a social worker. In conclusion, the theoretical part describes the possibilities of supporting family members within the system of the care of persons with mental disorder, especially educational and psychoeducational programmes. The empirical part maps the current range of services for family members of people with mental disorder, and in connection with that, it determines what workers consider to be their benefit. Then, the views of family members on the psychoeducational programme and the current system of taking care of persons with mental illness were examined in a parent organization.
