Energy efficient building of a family house in Šumperk
Máchová, Klára ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to design a modern two-storey single-family house that minimizes energy consumption. The site is located in a new development area in Šumperk. The focus of the work is on designing an earth-sheltered home for a family of four and maximizing the usage of a steep building site. The first floor, accessible from the northwest, comprises service areas such as a garage, workroom, and utility room. On the east side of this floor, there is a bathroom, guest bedroom, and family room, which also serves as a home wellness area. The primary living area occupies the left part of the second floor and leads directly to the terrace. The right section of this floor is the rest zone, including a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a walk-in closet, two children's bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. The load-bearing walls consist of aerated concrete blocks and sand lime blocks insulated with EPS. The horizontal structures are designed from in-situ reinforced concrete, ensuring structural integrity. A flat green roof helps the building blend into its surroundings and accumulates a significant part of the rainwater. The remaining water is stored in an underground tank and is used for garden irrigation and watering plants. The main source for heating, cooling, and hot water preparation is an air-to-water heat pump. During the day, it is partly powered by photovoltaic panels on the roof and remains connected to the grid. Building services include underfloor heating, cooling via a fan coil system, and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR). The energy performance certificate, categorized as A, is part of the documentation.
Detached house Prstne
Voženílková, Veronika ; Jelínek, Petr (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor´s thesis is to design a single-family house in a passive standard. The house is located in Zlín in the Prštné district. It is a square-shape two-story building with a porch and parking space for two cars. The object has a flat green roof and the balcony on the southeast is covered with bifacial solar panels. Beneath the balcony lies am unheated area, where the conservatory and two storage rooms are situated. This part of the house is excluded from the thermal envelope and helps the building to become more energy efficient. The service zone was designed to face the north while the private zones faced mainly the south and west. The masonry of the building is limestone blocks insulated by rock wool with a vented facade on the top. The house is powered by air-water heat pump and solar panels. Additionally, the building is connected to the grid to address any potential energy shortfalls. The comfortable climate inside the house is maintained by underfloor heating and mechanical ventilation with MVHR unit. The air in the house is distributed by a flexible duct. The rainwater from the roofs is stored in the water tank under the ground next to the house for garden use. The buildings EPC is class A with thermal loss 3,9 kW.
Single-family house
Ráková, Andrea ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design an energy efficient single-family house and develop its project for building permission. First part of the thesis is dedicated to structural and architectural designs. The building is designed as a two-story detached house with gable roof and separate garage with green flat roof. The plot is slightly sloping, and it is located in Syrovice village near Brno. The first floor consists of large space which includes kitchen, dining area and a living room together with library and an access to the terrace. The rest of the first floor consists of multiple smaller spaces like the utility room, storage room and the toilet. It also contains a hall with staircase, which allows access to the second floor of the house. The second floor is designed as a private zone including three bedrooms, shared closet, home office, bathroom and another separate toilet. The building will be based on strip concrete foundations and load-bearing structure of both floors will be masonry from sand-lime blocks insulated with polystyrene. Floor slab is designed from pre-stressed concrete hollow core panels and the roof structure consists of timber truss girders. This part of the thesis also focuses on solutions related to fire safety of the building, daylighting, thermal and acoustic properties of proposed structures. Second part of the thesis presents an elaboration of energy certificate and concepts of following building services: water management that includes fresh water supply, wastewater discharge and rainwater usage, electricity supply and its storage, heating system using air to water heat pump as a source for floor heating and cooling. The main focus of this part of the project is developing detailed design of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery.
Single-family house in Troskotovice
Slunečková, Eliška ; Pilný, Ondřej (referee) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis aims to design a single-family passive house. Designed house is situated in Troskotovice on a flat building plot. The house is composed of two volumes: a bigger two-floor part with a gable roof and a smaller one-floor part with a mono-pitched green roof. The house is divided into a work zone in the north and east of the ground floor, a social zone in the south of the ground floor and a private zone placed on the first floor. The structural system of the building is a wood frame with timber truss and joist floors. A cast-in-place reinforced concrete slab is used for the foundation. The first part of the thesis includes architectural, structural, and material designs with assigned calculations such as acoustics, daylighting, energy certificate and fire safety calculations. The second part of my bachelor´s thesis consists of heat, ventilation, and plumbing designs with a focus on the ventilation design. An air/water heat pump is used for heating up domestic hot water and water for a wall heating system. The house is equipped with heat recovery ventilation system. Rainwater from roofs is collected in an accumulation retention tank and used for watering a garden and toilet. Excessive rainwater s infiltrated in an infiltration basin on the plot. Design of the house includes connection to the electrical grid, optical grid, water supply and sewage systems.
Application and evaluation of energy enthalpy heat exchanger
Jetelina, Michal ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Uher, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis is solving measuring the efficiency heat recovery and application unit, which includes heat recovery into selected building. In the first part of the thesis are analy-zed the different types of heat recovery system, their behavior and suitability of use in HVAC systems. The second part includes the actual experiment, when were measured parameters of air, which passed through the unit and then were analyzed the results. In the last part, third, was measured unit applied to the selected house and was compared to operation of the unit in case of use by the producer given unit parameters and measured parameters.
Revitalization of a multi-purpose building in the village
Federla, Jakub ; Nováková, Eva (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The aim of master‘s thesis is to renovate old agricultural building and design it as nzeb building. The thesis contains three parts: 1st – design of the building, 2nd – design of building services, and 3rd – assessment of the impact of different operations in building on energy consumption. The results are then evaluated for economic and environmental savings. The renovated building in village Rozkoš will be used for many purposes. It will be divided into 3 parts – a multifunctional hall, a pub, and a club room. Multifunctional hall will be used for various activities for village itself or public. In the pub will be only cold kitchen with small dishes and beverages. Club room can be used for elderly people, workout or young people. The building is low rise and structural system is combined. The vertical load-bearing walls and columns are built of bricks. Horizontal load-bearing structures are cross vaults made also of bricks. Saddle roof is made of timber roof truss. The building site contains also an outdoor car park and a garden. The project was carried out in the Revit.
Energy assessment of buildings
Velísková, Eva ; Maurerová, Lenka (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with energy assessment of buildings according to a current valid legislature. In the first part the energy assessments problems are solved. The next part solves the energy concept of the educational building, Pavilion P4, AdMaS centre of Faculty of Civil Engineering of BUT, in the form of project documentation. In the part of thesis there is a simulation characterizing dynamic behavior of building. The thesis point is the evaluation of energy balance and a draft of measures leading to the power consumption decrease.
