Small sacral monuments of the Nova Rise and the surrounding area and their use in education

The aim of this master thesis is to study and map small sacral monuments within a selected area - the area of Nová Říše and its immediate surroundings. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first theoretical part deals with description and mapping of the small sacral monuments in the area. The aim is to explain the historical significance of those monuments in the landscape and to characterize, with help of period sources, literature and the testimonies of witnesses, the spirit of the place the small sacral monuments bring to the landscape. The second part of the theses focuses on the practical side and is looking for the ways on how to involve the public as a part of the education, especially children and youngsters so that the legacy of these silent witnesses in the landscape would last for generations to come. The work is based on relevant academic literature, contemporary sources and also on the interviews with old-timers, story catchers and also with experts on the subject. Marie-Anna Kociánová Title: Small sacral monuments in the eastern part of the Kutná Hora region. The area between the rivers Kejnárka and Doubrava This bachelor thesis briefly characterises each type of wayside shrines and mainly focuses on their occurrence in east part of Kutná Hora district between Klejnárka and Doubrava rivers. The aim of the thesis is to determine at least approximately when each wayside shrine was built and in which city is the oldest one located, eventually also trace back which type of wayside shrines were built generally earlier and on the other hand generally later in this district. Another aim of the thesis is to compare characteristic types of shrines and their similarities in close-by villages as well as in the whole district. The similarities are for example a specific usage of materials and methods in a certain time period, or the same local builder being involved. The sub-aims are firstly to determine if there is any type of wayside shrine missing in one of the villages and its vicinity and secondly to determine if all of the wayside shrines are recorded in both present and historical cartographical sources. Small sacral monuments in the Novohradsko region

The second part defines the area of exploration, its description and a list of specific sacral monuments located in the given territory. The third part focuses on preselected sacral monuments - description of the monument and its location, possible relationship of people to the monument.
Mikulášek's productions Europeana and Trapná muka

The thesis' subject is an analysis of two productions by one of the most distinct Czech theatre directors, Jan Mikulášek. Based on her own experiences as a spectator, reviews and analyses in newspapers and theatre magazines, the authoress attempted to describe and analyse the stylistic features of Mikulášek's stage directions, using Trapná muka and Europeana as examples. Since both of the productions are based on originally non-dramatic texts, the thesis will also deal with the strategies of adaptation in addition to stage direction, acting and the visual and musical components. In the analysises of the productions are also included the contexts of the formation of the originál books and also the productions. In the end the thesis aims at a comparison of both productions and points to various differences which appear within the coherent directorial style common to both productions.
Mapping of minor folk architecture elements in the microregion Stražiště

This thesis deals with mapping of the small folk architecture, such as crosses, small chapels and devotional pillars, in area of microregion of Stražiště. The introductory part of this work contains theoretical introduction to folk architecture. Next part deals with typology of the small folk architecture, its origins, functions and reasons for destruction. Third part of this work deals with field research, during that were taken photographs of each object and written necessary attributes. Based on this information was created the catalog, which can be found in enclosed CD. Last part of this work deals with selected objects in each cadastral area and statistics connected with them.
Mapping small sacred architecture in the northern Pilsen region

This work deals with small sacral architecture in the selected region of northern Pilsen and specifically around the village Unesov. Small sacral architecture in this area are mainly crosses, chapels, statues and Calvary. The aim of this work is a detailed study of small sacred architecture in selected areas in terms of natural and historical contexts. The search part is devoted to the essential characteristics of small religious monuments and historical maps on display. Part of the research is devoted to sights not religious origins. The key outcome of this work is small monuments catalog with detailed documentation of each object and using the ArcGIS geodatabase created.
Minor church architecture in rural development

The thesis focuses on research of minor church objects located in Neveklovsko. Theoretical part of thesis includes the definition of basic concepts, functions and types of minor church architecture. This part also describes the legal aspects, technological aspects and economic aspects related to the minor church architecture. In research part of thesis, there was realized field research in cadastral area of the town Neveklov, in which the minor church objects were examined, and also their condition was evaluated. This part of thesis contains information about financing of care for minor church objects in surveyed area. The conclusion of thesis contains the recommendation to owners about acquire funds to finance care of minor church objects. Attachment contains a description of all objects in Neveklovsko, marking on maps and photo documentation.
Small sacral buildings in the area Macha region

Abstract The thesis maps and identifies a small religious monuments in the countryside and smaller settlements in the cadastral area municipalities Association Macha, which is located in the southwestern part of the Liberec region and its southern edge, which is Kokorin, extends into the Central Region. These small structures of sacred significance were set up at intersections of roads, trade routes, near Wells, but as expressions of gratitude and remembrance to joyful, significant and tragic event. Each of these small sacred building affects perception of a person's environment, enriching area villages and landscapes, along with accompanying greenery which acted as a refuge on the road, landmark or feature lightning form a common artistic and traditional value. His mission lost partially or completely inappropriate transfer. The main benefit and purpose of this work is to determine the current state of these monuments in the area, and create a detailed catalog, serving as a source of information for tourism, regional development, such as integration into existing and also into emerging hiking, biking and nature trails, but also as the basis for a partial analysis in the evaluation of the landscape, the creation of the zoning plan, the draft plan during land consolidation or the needs of a particular community. The catalog is compiled on the basis of professional and regional literature, detailed field survey, including cadastral territory of the municipalities that are part of the voluntary association of municipalities Macha maps and testimonies of some residents is compiled catalog of small sacred buildings. Buildings are photographically documented and described both in terms of the status quo, and in terms of landscape significance here is the location of the building indicating the GPS coordinates and plotting the current actual map of the selected area.
Minor Church Architecture

Bachelor thesis is focused on the theoretical part of the grounds for protection feature, meaning and possibilities of financing of small religious monuments. It is mainly about getting orientation in the field of legislative responsibilities of owners concerning the protection of cultural immovable monuments, monuments located in rotected areas,as well as sites not declared a cultural monument and is also not located in protected areas. The practical part consists of compiling the small church buildings in the territory under Bezdězem Bela, assessment of their current situation and proposing alternatives for financing the restoration of buildings in disrepair. Assessment of individual sites is guided by its own field research, comparing issued binding opinions and the information gathered from owners of monuments. Work is completed on your own compilation record sheets for individual monuments, which will be the basis for creating a guide to the sights in Bela pod Bezdězem. The effort will not only identify the small church buildings, assess their condition, but also to find out whether the owners care about their monuments in accordance with the law.
