Distribution system support by power management of battery systems in charging mode and charging systems for electric vehicles
Rodionov, Vladislav ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the power management support of battery systems in charging mode and charging systems for electric vehicles in the LV network. The thesis includes an overview of the distribution network of the Czech Republic, means of voltage regulation and the existing legislative framework for the connection of charging systems. The thesis describes the methods of active and reactive power control depending on the voltage and frequency. The practical part focuses on the simulation of grid support at different penetration levels of BESS and EVC in MATLAB Simulink and the verification of the support function on a laboratory system. In the last part, the methods of implementing the control system for BESS and EVC operating in the LV grid are specified.
Battery Systems for Distribution Networks
Filip, Robin ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is focused on problematics of battery storage systems in distribution network. The thesis introduces methods of electrical energy storage with emphasis on battery storage systems. It also deals with possibilities of using these systems in the network. Additionally, an overview of current and planned projects with a description of the legislative environment of the area in the Czech Republic is included. The practical part deals with the design of battery storage capacity regarding to development of power consumption, electromobility as well as photovoltaics.
Infrastructure for electromobility
Smutková, Karolína ; Böhm, Michael (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of charging electric vehicles, including a number of sub-questions. It provides an overview of current charging stations, connectors, communication between vehicle and charger during charging and of the resulting price for charging. It also takes into account the need for large amounts of energy mostly from renewable sources, coupled with battery storage facilities. The last point is a comparison of current electric vehicles mainly by battery capacity, price and range. The whole thesis is primarily related to the territory of the Czech Republic.
EV smart charging and BESS in increasing the PV hosting capacity of distribution networks
Filip, Robin ; Lehtonen, Matti (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
Diplomová práce se zabývá dopadem nabíjení elektrických vozidel a bateriových úložišť na schopnost distribučních sítí nízkého napětí absorbovat fotovoltaické systémy. Převážně venkovské, příměstské a převážně městské regiony s různými stupni penetrace nekontrolovaně i kontrolovaně nabíjených elektromobilů jsou analyzovány Monte Carlo simulacemi. Hostingová kapacita je také analyzována, jestliže jsou elektrická vozidla jak nahrazena, tak doplněna domácími bateriovými úložišti. Práce je zakončena krátkou analýzou využitelnosti BESS.
