This thesis deals with the addition of flood protection measures in the Salašský potok basin. Working closely related to the previous bachelor thesis on Flood protection in the Salašský potok basin. Detail deal with left tributary Salašky - Modranský potok -which runs through the town Modrá, to be occupied by 6 small cascade of water reservoirs. The work is divided into two parts. The first part describes the actual parameters of the tanks and their assessment of the possible spill-over and is solved their overall transformational effect in the basin. In the second part of the thesis dealt with the tank as a semi tank in response to N-leté water and searched their design parameters.
Flood control measures in the Březnice Catchment
Zárubová, Kamila ; Menšík, Pavel (referee) ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the flood control measures in the basin Březnice. This mainly concerns the assessment of flow rates. The work is divided into two parts: A description basin and data processing in programs ArcGIS and Hydrog. Description of the basin is the description of geographic factors, personal acquaintance with the river, and residents of surrounding villages bordering the stream. Subsequently the river will be process and scheme in program ArcGIS - the catchment area will be divided into partial hanging areas with which it will be worked next. The outputs obtained in this step are used for data processing in the Hydrog program. The intensity of rainfall and the N-year flows will be also calculated . In the end flow rates obtained from the program Hydrog will be compared with the real flow.
Soil anad water conservation in Derensky stream using the digital elevation model
Průša, Jaromír ; Vašinová, Kateřina (referee) ; Dumbrovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The theme of the work is the creation of the characteristics of the erozních and drainage conditions in the cadastral territory of the commune and the subsequent proposal Kujavy erosion control measures. Analysis of erozion ratios was processed using GIS method of the grid. Characteristics of runoff ratios was carried out for major service area of the critical points (SPKB) using model DesQ and numbers of the CN. In the design of erosion control measures was drawn up in the economic evaluation.
Studie odtokových poměrů v povodí bezejmenného levostranného přítoku Svratky řkm 93,8 v k. ú. Ujčov
Mach, Arnošt
The diploma thesis is focused on the assessment of runoff conditions in the selected location for a purpose in form of the proposal complex system of measures. First of all was created literary research on topics like hydrology, forest roads, and measures for water retention. Next were in detail described the natural conditions of the chosen location. Thanks to the field survey were possible to identify critical locations for increased water drainage and determine risk factors. Based on the information gathered evaluated runoff conditions in the studied area and created a rainfall-runoff model in open-source software HEC-HMS. Lastly were designed measures for enabling the safe flow of water and measures for an increase in overall ecological stability.
Modeling hydrological response of the catchment to various precipitation events
ŠVANDA, Dominik
This thesis deals with the simulation of the hydrological response of a river basin to various precipitation events. The hydrological response was simulated in the Olešenský brook basin. The outflow of water from the landscape is influenced by many different factors at the same time. Among the most important factors are, for example, the slope of the terrain, land use, saturation of the soil profile withwater, anthropogenic influences, vegetation cover and last but not least the geological and soil conditions, the shape and area of the river basin, climatic conditions etc. explained and described in detail. Several methods are used to calculate the water runoff from the landscape, in which case the CN curve method was used to calculate the direct runoff from the landscape. By using the BPEJ map, land use and maximum daily precipitation totals with a probability of repeating N years (2, 10, 20, 50 and 100 years) obtained from the rainfall station Týn nad Vltavou, calculations were performed first in a numerical (vector) way and then the maps of direct water runoff from the catchment area were created in a raster way performed in ArcMap software. In the next step, various scenarios were simulated that influenced the outflow of water from the catchment. The first scenario was a change in soil saturation with water, resp. water content in the soil (dry, medium and wet). It has been found that the outflow of water from the basin and the peak flow were both fundamentally changed. Second scenario was grassing of all arable land in the basin, where the actual state compared to the theoretical state. This change reduced the CN curve values, what in turn reduced the direct water runoff from the landscape. Third and the last scenario was the concept of 20 metres wide infiltration strips along roads, watercourses and water areas. The proposed measure reduced the runoff coefficient values by about 1 % compared to the runoff coefficients at the actual state. In this case, there was no fundamental change as the strips occupy only a small part of the total area. However, infiltration strips still have a positive effect on rainfall-runoff events in the landscape.
Preparation of small water course restoration study in the agriculturally used landscape
HONZA, Jan
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of restoring the modified troughs of a small watercourse to its natural state - with revitalization. The theoretical part describes technical terms, history of flow adjustments, benefits of revitalization and its individual methods. The practical part describes the basin watercourse in the cadastral area of the Černá v Pošumaví village. The water flow is evaluated by the QBR method. The suitability of the locality for possible revitalization is monitored. Subsequently, a possible work flow is proposed. Finally, the feasibility of revitalization is evaluated. Photos of the research locality, maps and attachments with drawings are part of the thesis
Extreme hydrological processes in the upper Ostravice River basin
Cermanová, Eliška ; Langhammer, Jakub (advisor) ; Matoušková, Milada (referee)
The main object of this bachelor is the assessment of rainfall-runoff processes with a primary focus on the occurrence of extreme hydrological phenomena in the upper basin of the Ostravice river. The first part of the work is devoted to literature research dealing with the issue of extreme hydrological phenomena and their assessment methods, supplemented by research about current findings regarding changes in the rainfall-runoff regime. This part ends with a description of the physical-geographical conditions of the basin, ilustrated by map outputs. In the second practical part, the available data of average daily flows and daily precipitation totals from the ČHMÚ are analyzed in the period 1970-2020. By Pettit's test of homogeneity, the period is divided into two parts (1970-1995 and 1996-2020) to analyze the change in seasonality of the runoff regime and extreme events. Attention is also paid to the change in the ratio of base and direct runoff using the baseflow index and the runoff coefficient. To detect changes in the characteristics of the frequency of occurrence, duration and intensity of extreme events, the threshold value method and the insufficient volume method were used. As a result, a shift in the seasonality of the occurrence of floods to earlier months and a significant increase in...

Fiala, Ondřej ; Kliment, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Matoušková, Milada (referee)
CHANGES OF RAINFALL-RUNOFF REGIME IN THE ŠUMAVA / BOHEMIAN FOREST REGION Abstract: The goal of this thesis is the evaluation of changes in rainfall-runoff regime in the Šumava region from time and spacial point of view. The thesis includes research and applied part. The research part is dedicated to the methods of evaluation of runoff changes and their possible causes in the Šumava region. In the applied part there is an analysis of precipitaion - runoff regime for long-term time series of average annual and monthly discharges and also annual and monthly precipitations for selected gauging stations in Czech, German and Austrian part of Šumava using absolute and relative homogenity tests and Mann - Kendall test for long-term trend. The results of this thesis showed significant changes in rainfall and runoff seasonality. One of the main aims of this thesis is the identification of possible orographical effect or the difference between windward and leeward part of Šumava. In conclusion the achieved results are evaluated, discussed and compared with subject publications. Key words: absolute homogeneity, land-use, Mann - Kendall test, runoff, basin, discharge, relative homogeneity, season, precipitation, trend, Šumava
