Analysis of Common Spoken Language in Kroměříž and its Surroundings

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find and analyze the everyday speech of people living in Kroměříž and its surroundings. This thesis includes a brief description of the researched area and its history. The theoretical part focuses on the description of dialectology, the national language and the division of dialectical groups. The methodology of research is included in the practical part as well as the analyses of the everyday speech, which was achieved by the dialectical questionnare. The bachelor thesis is also accompannied by the source of literature used and other attachments
Common spoken language in Boršov nad Vltavou

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to determine and describe characteristic dialectal features in the everyday speech of respondents living in the village Boršov nad Vltavou. For this purpose, the recordings of respondents and their subsequent analysis, located in the practical part of the thesis, were used. In this part we can also find information about the current state of the vocabulary of the inhabitants of the village. The vocabulary questionnaire was completed by fifteen respondents and then analysed. In the theoretical part, the location, history and monuments of the village Boršov nad Vltavou located in southern Bohemia were presented. Furthermore, the thesis also contains a brief description of the Czech southwestern dialects.
Specific language in Region České Budějovice in three generations

The goal of this dialectical bachelor thesis was to find out if charakteric features of specific dialectical group (jihozápadočeská podskupina) are possible to find in ordinary language of native speakers, who come from České Budějovice. The work is divided into two parts and starts with teoretical part. The practical part is then focusing on analysis of a recordings of a dialectal speech. These recordings were made with three generations (old, middle and the youngest). The material was analysed from fonetic and morfological point of view.
The speech of younger generation in Frýdek-Místek

This thesis presents an analysis of the casual speech of high school students in Frýdek-Místek. Use of dialectal features which should be typical both for the area of Frýdek-Místek and for the broader Moravian and Silesian area was analyzed. Thus, we wanted to document the impact of dialect levelling in the speech of younger generation. Data were gathered using sociolinguistic interviews. The sample was very homogeneous and it was designed to represent a specific category of speakers, i.e. high-school students. Mostly, the interdialectal variants were preferred over dialectal ones. One of the features which is still commonly used is the pronunciation of -mě- as [mje].
Specific language in Jiratice in three generations

The goal of this dialectal work is to find out whether and what characteristic features appear in ordinary language of native speaker who come from Jiratice. The research was based on recording of dialectal speech of three generations (old, middle and the youngest). The thesis contains general description of bohemian-moravia and southwestern-bohemian dialectal subgroups and general description of middle-moravian dialectical group. This village is located on borderline of these dialectal areas. Special attention is dedicated to the explanation of actual state of dialect in chosen region (with focus on analysis of phonetics, formative and lexical dialectal features) and to the influence of the interdialect ? general Czech.
An Analysis of Common Spoken Language in Selected West Bohemian Localities

The subject of bachelor thesis is an analysis of common spoken language in communities of southwest dialectal subgroup. The author aims to the west bohemian circuit and accomplishes detailed language analysis of chosen texts (transcribed recordings of old generation) and evaluates spoken, or vernacular, phenomena. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to consider amount of preservation of dialects and the influence of spoken language.

Family names in the village of Bolešiny The subject of this thesis follows the subject of Bachelor thesis, in which the author analyzed the common language spoken in Bolešiny, region of Klatovy, which belongs to the Southwestbohemian dialectal sub-group. The thesis deals with onomastics of this village and of its administrative parts. Object of the analysis is antroponyms, specifically family names. The source materials are obtained by list of family names in the village; names caused by houses are ascertained by explorational methods like interview. The classification and analysis of antroponomastics data are anatomized in terms of study of special literature and with using of traditional classification process. The intention of this thesis is creation of abstract of the types of the family names and record of names caused by houses. The intention of this thesis is onomastics contribution of village Bolešiny.

The source materials are obtained by list of family names in the village; the nicknames are ascertained by explorational methods like questionnaire and interview. The intention of this thesis is creation of abstract of the types of the family names and nicknames; alternatively record of disappearing names caused by houses. The author gained records of common speech of three generations (old, middle-aged and young). The thesis contains phonetic, formative and lexical analysis of local dialectal feautures and appreciates contemporary state of the dialect spoken in this locality. The thesis should judge the degree of haleness of the dialect in specific age-groups and the influence of the interdialect ? general Czech.
