Optimization of a selected manufacturing production
Kolenič, Michal ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
Táto diplomová práca popisuje optimizáciu obrábacieho procesu za účelom zvýšenia produktivity výrobnej linky. Zadanie bolo vypracované v priebehu priemyselnej stáže vo firme Stellantis na obábacej linke blokov valcov motoru DV. Práca vysvetľuje metódy analýzy strát produktivity na výrobnej linke a aplikácii opatrení smerujúcich ku zvýšeniu produktivity, obzvlásť nasadenie nástrojov štíhlej výroby. Najviac boli nasadené nástroje SMED, ktorého cieľom je optimizácia výmeny rezných nástrojov, a TPM, ktorý ma za cieľ zvýšiť spoľahlivosť výrobných prostriedkov.
Using machine vision for robot guidance
Gábik, Jaroslav ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
With the development of machine vision technologies, new applications that can increase production, versatility or simplicity of production systems are widely spread. This thesis deals with usage of machine vision for robot guidance. The task consists of creating a technique and its practical realization, where the proposed assumptions are verified. The main objective is to determine 3D position and orientation of a sheet metal part or subassembly of the body-in-white, which is lying within the reach of an industrial robot with respect to its base coordinate system. The proposed method is suitable for several types and dimensions of components, which meet certain requirements. Targeting the component is carried out by scanning significant points on the component with the help of the 3D scanner attached to the robot flange. Afterwards, gained data are processed in a designed programme. The theoretical part is focused on research in the field of machine vision, accuracy of industrial robots, compensation of their errors and manipulation and assembly of the sheet metal parts in automotive. Finally, an evaluation and recommendations for practice are provided.

Automobilový priemysel na Slovensku ako hlavný ťahač slovenskej ekonomiky a jej vývoja
Zvarková, Zuzana ; Frömmel, Tomáš (advisor) ; Špecián, Petr (referee)
The aim of this work is to prove the mutual relationship and dependence between the Automotive industry and the Slovak economy. First half of practical part calculates cor- relation coefficients between five potential bonds of individual performance indicators (e.g. Revenues of car manufacturers and Slovak nominal GDP). Strong correlation coefficients between these bonds prove that there is a significant mutual relationship and strong dependence. Second half of practical part presents very comprehensive SWOT analysis of the automotive industry in Slovakia. The aim of the analysis is to emphasize the strong two-way relationship. Additionally, to propose, how could the automotive industry accelerate the Slovak economy if influenced properly and how it could overcome upcoming threats that could have a negative impact on the economy of the country.
The Impact of an Announcement of a New Car Model on the Price of Stocks of Automobile Companies
Micenko, Ján ; Krištoufek, Ladislav (advisor) ; Benčík, Daniel (referee)
This work studies the impact of an introduction of a new car model on the stocks of the introducing company and its rivals and also the impact of an earnings announcement on the stocks of the introducing company. I use two different approaches to explore these effects, one focusing on the stock returns through the CAPM and the other focusing on the volatility of stocks using GARCH model. I found that the new model introduction has a significant positive effect on the returns of stocks of the announcing company but I found no definite effect on the returns of stocks of the competition. Moreover, I found that the new model introduction has no effect on the volatility of stocks of the announcing company and similarly I found no definite effect on the volatility of stocks of the competition. Furthermore, I found that the earnings announcement has no definite effect on the stock returns of the announcing company but that it has a significant positive effect on the volatility.
