Application of object-oriented methodology when designing an information system of the payment institution
Justová, Markéta ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
The aim of the Diploma thesis is to evaluate the selected object-oriented (OO) methodology as it was defined by its author, on the basis of defined criteria, whether it is applicable in practice when designing an information system, with a main focus on analysis of the new core banking system supporting key processes of payment institution and Forex broker. Diploma thesis describes selected OO methodologies and notations used in the analysis and design of information systems. Further, it focuses on the evaluation of the real usage of selected method (Unified Process) in the environment of payment institution. It confronts the theoretical definition of a selected OO methodology with its application during the analysis of IS through practical demonstrations created within the case study.
Analysis and optimisation design of information system
Plojhar, Jan ; Vencovský, Filip (advisor) ; Voříšek, Jiří (referee)
This thesis is focused on information systems from the point of view of enterprise architecture. The theoretical part contains definitions and description of the key domains that are essential to understand for analysis and design of information system, which is in the practical part of the thesis. In this thesis in particular, the design of information system is about optimization of information systems of two petrol station branches that are part of OMV business network. This is done due to reduction of operation costs. After clarification of necessary concepts, three enterprise architecture frameworks are chosen and compared based on several criteria in the terms of their suitable utilization in the selected petrol stations. Then analysis of the problematic parts of information system is made according to the selected framework. Afterwards a design of information system is made according to the operator's requirements, owner's limitations and selected framework. The conclusion encompasses efficiency evaluation of the solution and its possible usage on different scope levels.
