Křížek, M. Utilisation of public resources for financing employee education by business entities. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. This bachelor thesis focuses on the utilisation of public resources for financing employee education by business entities. The objective of the thesis is to iden-tify significant aspects of the issue of employee education in relation to the possibility of using grant resources for financing the respective educational process in a selected domestic company. The study employs a quantitative approach. The main findings of the study indicate that the costs of employee education include both explicit and implicit costs, and through sensitivity analysis, it was determined how cash-flow changes with the alteration of individual variables. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of the relationships between employee education, grant financing, and overall company efficiency, which can be useful for further research and practice in the field of human resources management.
Methodology of tourist cards implementation in the EU - annex

The purpose of this thesis is to create procedure for implementation of tourist cards. The qualitative research emphesize the consumer point of view for such a project according to economic theory of consumer bahavior as well as the duration and price of the tourist cards in more than forty European cities. Benchmarking for chosen cities was made. The qualitative research focuses on the administrator's point of view based on interviews with managers of tourist card projects. Furthermore finance and cost --benefit analysis showing a contribution of the project to the local economy is provided. .With understanding nature of the tourist card system a proposal for Brno and the South Moravia region was made on behalf of the obtained results.
Evaluation method of non-profitable project - Case study of healthclinic on Rusingaisland Kenya

This bachelor thesis deals with the non-profit project and its evaluation. The work is focused on the evaluation method and its application. The goal is to select the best approach for the evaluation of this type of project and apply it to a case study in the medical centre on Rusinga island in Kenya. The theoretical part is focused on the meaning of terms associated with projects and the evaluation and understanding of evaluation methods. Methodological part theoretically describes in detail the various steps in the method selected Cost and Benefits. The practical part deals with the evaluation of the effectiveness of theabove mentioned project. Whereupon focuses on both quantifiable and non-quantifiable on costs and benefits. Quantifiable costs are quantified using indicators of criterial. Incalculable costs are explained and analysed by their importance. The overall evaluation of the effectiveness of the project involves both interpretations indicators and the impact of invaluable benefits of the project.
Možnosti realizace systému veřejných kol v Brně

The thesis deals with bike sharing systems and the implementation possibilities of such a system in Brno. The theoretical and practical parts of the thesis propose a concept of a bike sharing system for the city of Brno. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic principles of bike sharing systems, their history, functionality in selected foreign cities and current situation in the Czech Republic. The practical part of the thesis presents survey results, its goal was to discover current attitudes of Brno's residents to the proposed project of a bike sharing system. The results of the survey show that 53 % of respondents are interested in using the bike sharing system. Based on the results of the survey, analysis of foreign systems and data from the company Homeport, s.r.o., a tariff and placement of stations with bikes are proposed and a financial and economic costs and benefits analysis of the system is given in three options of financing. The results of the financial and economic cost and benefit analysis prove the viability of the bike sharing system in Brno.

Cost Analysis of Treatment of Cataract

This thesis deals with the analysis of the cost of treatment of cataracts. The intention is to compare cataract surgery by phacoemulsification by ultrasonic method and by laser method and by using a cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the effective treatment from three perspectives - patient, medical equipment and insurance. To calculate the subjective benefits of the operation the patient is using the method of VF-14, which is a tool for transferring benefits to financial units.
EU subsidies aimed at human resources – case study

This bachelor thesis is oriented on the issue of obtaining financial grants from the European Union for the development of human resources, specifically for legal entities situated in the capital of Prague. EU Structural Funds are introduced in the first part of the thesis; these finance projects directed on the development of human resources. Another part brings up the Operational Program Prague -- Adaptability. Third part is dedicated to the practical topic of acquiring the grants, particularly to a project application, its production, evaluation and obtaining of financial resources. Cost benefit analysis is introduced in this part as an appropriate tool to select and evaluate the project.
Environmental Management as a Voluntary Tool for Environmental Policy

Environmental management is one of the voluntary tools for environmental policy, which provides instructions to organizations, how they can coordinate their products, activities and services to minimize their negative environmental impacts. This work describes and compares two basic approaches for environmental management system (EMS) implementation - ISO 14001 Standard and EMAS II Regulation in terms of requirements for an organization. Attention is paid to advantages and disadvantages of EMS implementation in an organization too. In analytical part of this work, environmental management is analyzed in light of a number of certified and certifying organizations, after that follows cost-benefit analysis of EMS focused on organizations and SWOT analysis. The goal of this work is to find out on the basis of the results of these analyses, whether environmental management system implementation is a competitive advantage of an organization, or not.
