Evaluation of alternative propulsion types for aviation applications
Franz, Jan ; Horpatzká, Michaela (referee) ; Koštial, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis attempts to summarize different types of aircraft propulsion with special regard to alternative types of propulsion and their comparison to conventional types. The text is consists of an overview of conventional propulsion and fuels used with extension to sustainable aviation fuels. Electric propulsion including motors, batteries and fuel cells. Examples of aircraft that use alternative propulsion. Hybrid propulsion and hydrogen storage and a calculation for a reference aircraft.
Alternative powertrains of vehicles
Filip, Vojtěch ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of most common alternative drive systems currently used in cars, their comparison with the current gasoline and diesel engines. Familiarization with the technical solutions of drives, their categorization into several groups according to the specific key features. It also deals the most important components of an alternative fuels automobiles, respecting their strengths and also weaknesses that currently hinder expansion of these propulsions, economically as well as technically.
Design of an Agricultural Tractor
Horáček, Radim ; Zdařil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The main subject of this master‘s thesis is an innovative approach to design of an ag- ricultural tractor with technical, esthetic, ergonomic and economic demands. The aim is to create a distinctive design and shape of tractor unbound from conventional solutions. The concept takes account of the farm–machine relationship, the alterna- tive powertrain, and friendliness to the environment.
Design of an Urban Electric Bus
Kučera, Tomáš ; Surman, Martin (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
-Design of a conceptual bus using results to determine current trends in public transport. -Integration of electronic mirrors to increase safety, use of clean electrical components without emissions, use of lidar sensor built into the lights, air purification -Electric bus design in terms of design, production technology and ergonomics, production of a physical model and posters. -Work brings insight into current trends in public transport, and offers solutions for integration into design.
The Shape Study of a Tractor
Foret, Martin ; Dubjak, Petr (referee) ; Zdařil, Zdeněk (advisor)
Topic: futuristic tractor In my work I focused on the design of heavy tractor plow in the future between 15-20 years. The main aim was to provide a solution that would undertake the issue of adaptation to different working conditions in which the tractor is moving. Adaptivnost was therefore my main goal. Specifically, I focused on balancing the tractor with respect to the driver (cab should ideally be in the middle between the wheels and as low as possible to reduce fluctuations cab drivers are very annoying and negatively affects driving performance on the tractor) . This position is ideal for traveling, but not to work in small spaces and manipulate the front or rear aggregate when the requirements for the best visibility from the cab. Already in my sketches the main idea is evident when the tractor acts as a "compact housing", which change their length and position of the cab as required. For longer rides, such as dragging the machine back on the field, to extend the chassis cab and go down to the lowest position, thus creating an imaginary triangle (between the cabin and wheels), the lower base of the triangle is the longest and therefore the focus is what the lowest. Conversely for handling in a small space tractor chassis to "withdraw" - the smallest turning radius, while the cab driver to go and see better under the wheels, even on the front unit. As for power, and under current trends, it is considered that in the future will be the most efficient diesel-electric propulsion. Compared to existing engines will be smaller Diesel engine running at speed and deliver the ideal energy for the alternator, which converts it into electricity. energy for electric motors that are in each round. It has the advantage as an independent power to each wheel, improving acceleration, etc. As in the past, present and future, and my suggestion is having to deal with the fact that there always will be the engine, its chilling, and various other elements having a size and you can not change too much. With this fact I have worked from the beginning and to seek solutions that would be consistent with my intent. Finally, I chose the principle that the cabin extends hydraulically angle about 45 'forward and change the length distribution of wheel movement is going through the rear chassis rails. Visually, that is very closely linked to functional aspects, it is a clean and easily readable morphology. The whole tractor is distinct lines, which meanders from the front grille, obtahuje cab to her pulled out of the alternator. The aim was to achieve a compact and dynamic shape of the bonnet. The front lights are designed so that their size and location of the suit while riding on public roads, but also to the need for oversizing greater exposure while working in the field. This helps to light in the cab roof and wings, which enable even the correct estimate of the size and contour of the tractor for oncoming cars. For the same reason, get out of shape fenders and turn signals, which can thus be seen from all angles. The tanks are fitted on the sides of the cab chassis with a total 280 l frame cabin has a triangular profile that corresponds with the previously mentioned strong lines on the hood and headlights on the wings. It is designed to be not only comfortable but also getting a driver and still underrated sufficient space for the driver's legs stretch during long rides.
Alternative Drive of Automobile
Novosád, Jan ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
In this work is processed a survey of perspective alternative drives in motor vehicles. There are main characteristic for each mentioned drive, their advantages and disadvantages and problems associated with their use in vehicles. The work is aimed at gas engines, electro mobiles, hybrid drives and hydrogen, therefore the most likely drives the future.
Alternative drives lifting mechanism for pallet truck
Korčián, Michal ; Wilda, Libor (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis discusses the design replacement solution current hydraulic actuator stroke for low-lift truck to be completely electric. The aim is to propose the most optimal compensation due to the conservation of existing properties. To use this truck transportation in industries where the emphasis on increased health protection from potential leaks operating fluids.
Alternative drive
Přikryl, Karel ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes types of alternative propulsion systems considering enviroment and reusable sources of energy. It also arguments its functionality and disadvantages. Specifically it talks about electric vehicles.
Fuel cells in personal transport
Říha, Stanislav ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
This thesis is oriented to historical evolution of fuel cell, his total analysis, description of single disadvantage and advantage with which fuel cells battle. An other reason for urgency of using alternative fuel, brief description of car market and possible guess of fuel cell's future in personal transport are involved in an other part of this thesis. The end of the thesis deal with cars of fuel cells split in parts according to single car companies.
Emission reduction of internal combustion engines, particle filters
Bojanovský, Jiří ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with lowering exhaust emissions and particle filters. These issues are often debated and also legally regulated, especially by the European Union. The thesis includes direct and indirect impacts on some measures and a critical evaluation of them. The part dedicated to filters includes their function, benefit and problems which occur in actual operation.
