The vehicle lighting is one of the most important subjects, which consider vehicle electrical engineering. A lot of technical expertises shows, that visual passibility diminishes on as far as only 4 %. But more than 90 % of information, which driver needs to drive car safety receives rightly by sight. From these reasons, the vehicle lighting is the basic element of active safety and bears higher safety in service.

Opening chapter describes international specifications and describtion of lighting sources. Following chapter describes individual design in lighting systems. In the end of the bachelor´s thesis is comparing of lighting system and look at the future.

In the present vehicle lifting is one of the most important topics of safety in traffic. The new rules were determined since 1st July introducing all-day lightening during a day in a full vision over all year. Updating of rules of traffic was especially ganerated by necessity of heighten the safety in traffic on roads. Automotive electronics is concerned with a lighting of vehicles and improving of lighting in unfavourable situations (mist, rain, night). Modernizing is lighting of additional lights like for example adaptive headlights, night vision systems. Lihgting is the most basic component of active safety which contribute to increment of safeness of traffic.
