The topic of the bachelor's thesis is Comparison of the approach to climate change adaptation measures in forests in selected countries at the level of national plans and policies. In this context, the bachelor thesis deals with adaptation measures that are applied in order to mitigate the effects of climate change on forests and forestry. The bachelor thesis is written in the form of research. The thesis first deals with basic concepts such as climate change and its effects in general, the effects of climate change on forests and forestry, and adaptation to climate change. Subsequently, it deals with the characteristics of natural and socio-economic conditions and their vulnerability, the distribution of forest ownership and change in forest cover in Finland, Spain and Kenya. The last part is devoted to applied adaptation policies and national plans to climate change in the mentioned countries.

Applying quality management in the employee's adaptation process

Quality management in the area of human resources management was previously mainly used in industrial companies. At present it is also promoted in the sphere of state administration. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the human resources management process in the area of the adaptation process of employees of the central body of the state administration of the Czech Republic from the point of view of quality management and to propose recommendations to improve its efficiency with application of process management, change management in relation to ISO 9001 and Methodical Guideline for Quality Management in Service Offices (hereinafter the Methodical Guideline). The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and principles of employee education in state administration and quality management. The definition of basic concepts and principles is based on the study of professional literature and binding documents that link the principles of quality management and human resources management with a focus on the adaptation process. The second chapter of the theoretical part defines the quality management in terms of the requirements of the Methodical Guideline and the requirements of ISO 9001. This bachelor work focuses on adaptation process of new employees in a particular company. The goal is determination of adaptation process and comparison with needs of the company on onboarding field. A few methods of quality research were used in application part. The first one is analysis of internal documents related to adaptation process. The second is application and analysis of structured inquiry of head of human resources department of the company. Application part of the work brings evaluation of analysed adaptation process.

The thesis focuses on the issue of hiring and adaptation process of new employees in the company XY, branch Czech Republic. It is divided into two main parts theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on literature study defines basic terms, context and theoretical background related to the respective area. The practical part is a presentation of selected listed company and is dedicated to the analysis and evaluation of the current process of hiring and adaptation process in this company. The aim of the practical part is based on an analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current concept of hiring and adaptation process in a selected company and to provide suggestions and recommendations that could lead to the entire process improvement.
