Hodnocení míry znečištění vodních nádrží sinicemi metodami dálkového průzkumu Země
NOVÁK, Matěj
The thesis deals with evaluating the pollution of selected water reservoirs by cyanobacteria and algae using their spectral characteristics. The thesis compares data measured by a spectroradiometer ASD Fieldspec 4 with laboratory-evaluated data collected in situ. Spectral algorithms 709/620 and 709/665 were chosen to evaluate the degree of pollution by cyanobacteria and algae. The values of the spectral algorithms 709/620 and 709/665 showed a close linear relationship with the laboratory-evaluated concentrations of phycocyanin and chlorophyll-a (709/620 with PC and 709/665 with Chl-a) and the regression models achieved considerable accuracy (R2PC = 0.7339; R2Chl-a = 0.7899). In the case of the relationship of the spectral algorithm 709/665 with TP, PP and PN, a close linear dependence was also achieved. And the regression models again achieved considerable accuracy (R2TP = 0.7273, R2PP = 0.7466, R2PN = 0.7491). This indicates that the use of the ASD Fieldspec spectrometer, and thus other DPZ methods using spectral reflectance for evaluation, offers in practice a suitable alternative to evaluating surface water status through laboratory evaluation of samples.
Hodnocení znečištění stojatých povrchových vod zelenými řasami a sinicemi pomocí jejich spektrálních vlastností
LAŠTOVIČKOVÁ, Radka
This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of pollution of stagnant waters by green algae and cyanobacteria using their spectral properties. We chose the Hracholusky and Švihov reservoirs as a model area for evaluation. In those waters, the degradation was evaluated by determining the chlorophyll- concentration and by obtaining an evaluation reflectance from both the spectroradiometer and satellite images. Based on the results, we are able to determine that a high incidence of chlorophyll- concentration occurs in both water reservoirs, which serves as an indicator of the degree of polluting the body's surface water. In general, it can be argued that the concentration of chlorophyll-a increases in places where no water circulation occurs. In those tanks it is the beginning of the swell and also the shores. The results also demonstrate the great suitability of using Earth remote sensing data to assess the pollution of large bodies of water by algae and cyanobacteria.

In the first part is legislation list of requirements on wastewater treatment plant, description ongoing intensification on basin Jedovnický brook. In the second part are results from consumptions and comparing with similiar thesis, legislation requirements and norm. In the practical part was analyzed: temperature, oxygen, electrolytic conductivity, redox potential, hydrogen exponent, biochemical oxygen consumption, chemical oxygen consumption, nitrates
Impact assessment of landscape structure on surface water pollution in Krivoklatsko protected area using ArcSWAT
Hanzlová, Markéta ; Matějíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Innemanová, Petra (referee)
The topic of thesis deals with a hydrological model SWAT used for impact assessment of landscape structure on surface water pollution in Krivoklatsko protected area. For this purpose using ArcSWAT in the ArcGIS environment there were built hydrological models of three watersheds of various landscape structure located in the area of interest. The measured data of nitrate were used for these models. Concentration of nitrates in the surface waters were simulated by using these models in the period from 2003 until mid-2014. The statistical evaluation of the models including actual landscape structure did not show satisfactory match of the simulated values with the measured values. Due to the uncertainties of the model, including insufficient quantity of measured nitrates, it was not possible to expect exact results. After validation of basic models, it was important to create new models that would include various scenarios of landscape structure organization. New versions represented changes in the use of land classified as arable land in pasture or mixed forests, in the area around the stream to 250 m and 500 m. Modelling of the impact of individual scenarios on the structure of the landscape structure on nitrate concentrations there was displayed a positive effect of grassing and afforestation of...
The quality of water sources in the Czech Republic
Boháčová, Tereza ; Petrtýl, Miloslav (advisor) ; Kyriánová, Iveta Angela (referee)
The following bachelor thesis on the subject of The quality of water sources in the Czech Republic is supposed to introduce its readers to both historical development and current state of surface water quality in the Czech Republic. The works methodology is creation of a literature review of available scientific literature and especially Reports on surface water quality in particular river basins. The first part briefly describes Czech hydrological network and basic water quality indicators. The second part deals with the development of surface water quality in particular river basins. Another part of the work describes legal measures concerning surface water protection. In the last century, surface water contamination was considered one of the biggest environmental problems in our country. Waste water flowing into surface water were not perfectly treated and often werent treated at all. Because of this and also because of intense industry development, surface water was highly polluted. It wasnt until 1989, when the surface water quality improved significantly, mainly due to reduction of contaminants discharge, waste water treatment plants and sewerage system construction and development. Main danger for quality of rivers after 1989 were floods in 1997 and 2002, during which water treatment plants outage were often and dangerous chemicals were leaking from factories. The main finding of this work is the fact that quality of surface water in Czech Republic is much better than in the last century. However, it is still needed, that we focus on smaller rivers which are being endangered the most by discharge of contaminants from villages that dont have their own waste water treatment plants.
Analysis of economic and environmental effects of detergents' compactation
Gregorová, Martina ; Vojáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Slavíková, Lenka (referee)
This master thesis studies environmental effects of a detergents' compactation project. The theoretical part describes negative environmental effects of detergents' use and foreign initiatives having successfully led to decrease of these effects. The analytical part evaluates the information campaign focused on customer behavior and detergent dosage through a market survey. Lower detergent consumption is a prerequisite of a decreased negative environmental impact. Market data showing real detergent consumption are compared to expected development. Results of the market survey and the market data analysis show that a change in consumer behavior was not sufficient; and therefore, the compactation project was not successful.
The influence of agricultural activities on surface waters physico-chemical parameters in Novohradsko area
SLAVÍKOVÁ, Lucie
Agriculture is an activity that affects the landscape. The aim töf this work was to observe the quality of water in the Novohradsko area. These following water quality parameters were measured: pH, conductivity, nitrates, phosphates, sulphates, chlorides and alkalines cations. The parameters changes were analysed for the years 2005 - 2010. The values of conductivity on the upper profile Stropnice River exceed the value of 50 ?S.cm-1. The values of conductivity in the lower profile of the Stropnice River do not exceed 175 ?S.cm-1. The results confirmed that the farming has a significant influence on the water quality in the Stropnice River although it is an extensive farming.
