Agent-Based Monitoring of Wireless Sensor Networks
Houšť, Marek ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The reader is first introduced with history and possible applications for wireless sensor networks. The thesis then describes the problems of wireless sensor networks and implementation tools for wireless sensor networks. The thesis also presents the system WSageNt and its client web interface. Practical part is based on the design of agent elements. Describes gradual implementation, testing and practical realization of these agent elements in the system WSageNt. The final part discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the project and identifies possible future expansion of the system.
Dynamic Memory Allocation in TinyOS
Križanský, Ján ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Horáček, Jan (advisor)
This thesis aims for a theoretical and practical comparison of two different approaches to dynamic memory management in TinyOS operating system designated for simple programmable devices. For each of the approaches we were observing different aspects, among others the effectivity of usage of resources, allocation speed and usability from the programmers point of view. Thesis also extends the capabilities of dynamic allocation onto external flash memory. It shortly explains the principles behind dynamic memory allocation and it's application in the area of simple programmable devices with limited resources.
Proposal of wireless sensor network for indoor monitoring of people and objects
Záděra, Zdeněk ; Mráz, Ľubomír (referee) ; Morávek, Patrik (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of wireless sensor network (WSN) for monitoring of people and objects in a building. The work deals with issues of localization and tracking in sensor networks and algorithm implementation to sensor nodes. It also contains a description of the aplication requirements. These requirements form the basis for the proposal. The hardware part of the network consists of sensor nodes IRIS from Crossbow company. The work describes the properties of these nodes. Next part deals with of propagation model and design of the localization algorithm. The paper also describes the communication in the network. The thesis also includes a practical realization of the proposed network, the localization system and its testing. In the work is included a CD with the building schematic in AutoCAD and with source code of created applications.

Juračka, Jan ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
Theme of the thesis is research and possibility of using GPS system from localization in wireless sensor network. Paper deals with the accuracy and energy consumption of GPS localization. Thesis also solve using of localization in local anchor system. Theoretical part describes IEEE 802.15.4 standard, capability of used nodes and describe ways how to use RSSI value to resolve location
Research of Localization Algorithms in Wireless Sensor Networks
Holešinský, Pavel ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on research of localization algorithms. Each developed localization algorithms are generally application specific. Because of application requirements diversity, many variants of localization algorithms exist. In case of finding appropriate localization algorithm for concrete application usability, existence of real condition simulation environment is useful. Development of this simulation environment was made simultaneously with both localization algorithms. At first, survey of available localization technic was performed and their summary was listed. Further work was aimed on research of two localization algorithms. Both of them use triangulation mechanism to determine unknown node position. This mechanism is based on measurement of distance to three reference points with known position. It would seem that both algorithms are similar, but simulation shows their difference and presents their suitability for diverse conditions.
Interconnection of IEEE 802.15.4 and Ethernet networks
Pavlata, Karel ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
Táto práca sa venuje probému prepojovania rôznych typov sietí, konkrétne sietí typu IEEE 802.15.4 a Ethernetu. Motivácia vychádza zo stále sa rozširujúceho využitia bezdrátových senzorických sietí, potreby zberu dát z nich a ich integrácie. To vyžaduje aby sieť obsahovala prvky schopné preniesť dáta z bezdrátovej siete do okolitého sveta a prípadne poskytnúť konfiguračné a riadiace informácie do vnútra siete.
Wireless Sensor Network Simulation Model in J-Sim Tool
Vrzal, Tomáš ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of wireless sensor networks and communication protocols. Is explained of what the network is composed, what standards are used and in what sectors are most often used. The main scope of work is to introduce with the localization algorithms using in WSN. Algorithms are clearly divided into groups according to the methods used. In work is describes the structure used simulation tools J-Sim, for creating a wireless sensor network. To create network will be then applied different localization algorithms, which must first be implemented in a simulator using Java code. All generated classes and the algorithms are detailed described in the work. Results from simulations are detailed and graphically displays for individual localization algorithms.
Implementation of RTOS to the WSN node
Ulianko, Michal ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Pavlata, Karel (advisor)
Wireless Sensor Network with Arduino Components
Šplíchal, Jakub ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Samek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of wireless sensor networks consisting of components Arduino. The work includes introduction to the Arduino platform and its capabilities in combination with the wireless XBee modules. The important part is design a wireless network from these components and applications for the display of measured values from sensor nodes. The goal is to create sensor network with a dynamic topology and examine its behavior in real environment and the creation of applications for saving and displaying measured data from individual sensor nodes.
