Diploma thesis processes a problematics of project management. It deals with basic concepts, theoretical knowledge, methods and project management tools. This knowledge is applied during a restaurant reconstruction in the practical part of the thesis, where it especially describes project goal, WBS, RACI Responsibility Matrix, timetable and financial plan of the project. It furthermore identifies risks affecting construction and restaurant operations. Then it presents precaution for the elimination of those risks.

Work elaborates an overview of project management tools in the field of railway engineering. In addition, the thesis outlines the basic data on the State Railway Infrastructure Administration and the construction of the Boskovice railway line from the point of view of project management.

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of computerization of HR forms in order to streamline the processes of data management and processing in the field of human resources. The thesis is structured into three main parts, which are the theoretical part, the analysis of the company and the suggestions for improving the solutions of the project. The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical background of concepts such as project, project management, describes the project life cycle and the different methods used in the pre-project phase or the methods and techniques used in the project phase of the project. The following part of the project focuses on the description of the company in which the issue is addressed and the analysis using properly identified methods and analyses, such as SLEPT and 7S. The conclusion of the thesis is oriented towards the actual suggestions for improvement based on the previous analysis results.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of the implementation of digital transformation of a company that focuses on road cargo transportation. The digitalization is mainly focused on the area of vehicle and employee tracking. The aim of this project is to increase efficiency and reduce costs for fuel, repairs and other influential factors. The tracking will be achieved by introducing IoT (Internet of Things) systems such as GPS locators, sensors and cameras, which will send data to a designed web and Android application for further interaction. The theoretical part of the thesis will also describe different project management methods. I will then use the selected methods directly in the design of the digital transformation project.

The main object of this thesis is a design of the project with the utilization of project management principles in the chosen company. Company SynopsIS Technologies, a.s. is developing and selling a software solution for advocacy and law offices. The starting point of the entire process of designing is the strategic analysis of the current state of the company, analysis of the external environment and business field of the company. The main object is a designed project of the change, which will be used for project management in order to successfully reach set goals and minimize the risks of the project. A designed solution is using the support of Microsoft Project Professional 2016 software.

The thesis comprehensively describes the project from its inception, through planning, implementation up to handover of the outcomes to the customer, completion and evaluation. The thesis contains attachments which document meetings with the customer and project management artifacts created at different stages of the project.
