The bachelor´s thesis is based on current legislation and regulations, which govern accounting and in-house guidelines. The main aim is to create in-house accounting guideline for a complete and proven stock records and capture stock in accounting. Created in-house accounting guideline ensures the same procedures for valuation reserves and stock records in the company.

The first part defines the theoretical basis related to accountancy, the creation of internal directives and inventory accounting. The last part presents the draft of a comprehensive internal company directive focused on the company’s inventories and accounting cases related to them.

Furthermore the thesis deals with the directive, which regulates cash in the company. The outputs of the thesis are proposals of the directives, which have been proposed in accordance with legislative conditions and specific needs of companies.

This thesis focuses on the problem of internal guidelines for accounting in a selected company. The first section provides theoretical background of accountancy and internal guidelines. The main tasks of the second part of this work is an analysis of the current company guidelines’ state, identifying imperfections and, consequently, design new or update already existing directives. The aim of the thesis is to increase the efficiency of the management process in the company.
