The influence of the internet and social networks on adolescent's self-identification

This thesis looked at the influence of the internet and social networks on adolescent's self- identification. It focused on the self-conception and self-evaluation of adolescents and their relationship to social networsk. Initially, we focused on the development of adolescents and their integration into society. We focused on the characteristics of the social networks, their creation and the functions of each of them. We also found what risks internet users might encounter and how to avoid them. The research part of this work was devoted to time spent on social networks, as well as the content that interviewees search for and share. In the context of self-identification and self-conception, the results showed us that boys have a higher self-assessment compared to girls who care most about their appearance.
Polemics Between Technological Optimists and Pessimists in Popular Literature

The Rigorous Thesis with the name of Polemics Between Technological Optimists and Pessimists in Popular Literature is focused on the contradiction in argumentation of technological optimists and pessimists in popular literature. With the development of the internet, there has been an ongoing discussion about whether new technologies have a positive or negative impact. At the end of the last century, this discussion began forming in the general framework at first. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the internet and new digital technologies have been becoming part of all human activities more and more. And the discussion between technological optimists and pessimists has also moved, from the general framework to specific topics. The difference in argument between technological optimists and pessimists is shown on the examples of politics, economics and society. The Valuable Orientation of Pubescents

The dissertation deals with formalization a value orientation in pubescence in a relationship with internet use. The general angle of the dissertation is theoretic, the most methods that are used are descriptive methods and partly relational methods. The general structure of the dissertation is divided to four basic chapters. First chapter defines terms of attitudes and values from the philosophic, psychologic, sociologic and pedagogic perspective. The second chapter deals with a pubescence phase, its difficulties from the viewpoint of formalization of a value orientation. The third chapter is focused on internet and there are generally mentioned eventual effects resulting from its use. The fourth chapter finally summarises the foregoing chapters with the accent on formalizing a value orientation in pubescence in a relationship with internet use.
Mass Media and Internet Effect on Healthy Life Style Forming

Abstract Media and their content have been subject to research since the time of their origin. A lot of scientists deal with their influence on formation of a human and the society. The term media is being discussed very frequently nowadays. Sociologists, psychologists, politicians as well as journalists often write and speak about media in various contexts. Mass media play a unique and irreplaceable role in providing social coherence in the modern society; they support power allocation and social communication. Evaluation of mass media roles differ according to what these roles bring to individuals and to the society, because what we can evaluate from one view as desirable may be seen undesirable from another view. Mass media serve to maintenance and stability of democratic society and they support the existing power allocation. Most of everyday communication is interpersonal or in a group, which means that it is tightly fixed in the situational and cultural context. Our existence in the society is not only determined geographically, but mainly in the sense of cultural behaviour patterns and conventions and certain social relations. The aim of my thesis was: ``To analyze the influence of media and the Internet on formation of healthy lifestyle among secondary and tertiary students and to analyze all differences between secondary and tertiary students.{\crqq} The aim of the thesis has been met. Hypothesis 1: Media have stronger influence on secondary students than on tertiary students has not been confirmed. Hypothesis 2: Media have stronger influence on weight reduction in women at secondary schools than those at tertiary schools has been confirmed. Hypothesis 3: Secondary students read lifestyle magazines more than tertiary students has not been confirmed.
