Prevention of the Selected Infectious Diseases in the Lay public

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the prevention of selected infectious diseases in the general public. It focuses on three diseases with frequent occurrence in the South Bohemia Region - tick-borne encephalitis, viral hepatitis and salmonellosis. The work is divided into a theoretical and a empirical part. In the theoretical part we discuss the characteristics of infectious diseases, prevention, the role of the nurse in the context of prevention and the selected diseases themselves, already listed. In the empirical part the aim was chosen - to map the prevention of selected infectious diseases in the general public. Based on this objective, five hypotheses were chosen. H1: There is a statistically significant relationship between opinion on vaccination and gender. H2: There is a statistically significant relationship between attitude towards prevention of selected infectious diseases and education. H3: There is a statistically significant relationship between adherence to viral hepatitis prevention and age. H4: There is a statistically significant relationship between adherence to tick-borne encephalitis prevention and age. H5: There is a statistically significant relationship between adherence to salmonellosis prevention and age.

Viral hepatitis - knowledge of upper grade high school students This thesis is focused on the issue of all types of viral hepatitis. The work is divided into two large units. The first part is theoretical and provides a comprehensive overview of all types of viral hepatitis in general. It deals in detail with each type separately; it describes its characteristics, what causes it, its epidemiology, course, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The empirical part investigates the level of knowledge of students of third and fourth grade of high schools from a quantitative survey. It includes pedagogical research, whose task was to determine what knowledge students had acquired during compulsory education, and it also includes evaluation of this research.
