Design of a headstock for a machine tool
Sehon, Tomáš ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Hermanský, Dominik (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of a headstock for a machine tool. Theoretic part of this thesis provides basic description of a horizontal machine tool. Further it is dedicated to description of a headstock of machines with extensionable work spindle. In a design part firstly optimal variant is chosen by using multicriterial analysis. Necessary calculations were done and chosen variant was developed. Design is realised by 3D CAD model and drawing documentantion.
Design of cartridge spindle for milling machines
Burian, Viktor ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with the design of a cartridge spindle for milling machines. The aim of the work is to design a spindle with a power of 15 kW, which allows the automatic exchange of tools with ISO interface. In the beginning, the thesis deals with the description of the individual components related to the construction of machine tools spindle. A spindle design concept is chosen, for which a number of calculations were made concerning the structure itself. Based on the proposed design, a 3D model and drawing documentation were made.
Design of spindle for lathe
Sovadina, František ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and construction of headstocks of a turning centre. The aim is to design a spindle with an output of 20 kW and a maximum speed of 5000 1/min. The research part of the thesis is focused on the description of the basic parameters of the headstock and turning centres needed for the construction of the headstock and contains an analysis of the available spindles on the market. The next part of the thesis deals with the selection and calculation of cutting conditions and the necessary parameters. Analytical calculations are then verified using FEM analysis. At the end of the thesis, a 3D model was developed and headstock drawing documentation.
Headstock and main spindle of horizontal turning center
Suda, Martin ; Novotný, Lubomír (referee) ; Dokoupil, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis deals with headstock and spindle of the universal turning center. In the introduction part is a destription of the headstock morfology. It describe how the spindle and headstock can be solved in terms of its bearing, installation, used clamping interface, lubrrication, cooling and sealing. The second part is devoted to the universals turning machines which are available on the market. In the final part is the practical solution of the headstock and spindle on which can be performed for milling and drilling operation instead of turning.
Designe of spindel for miling centre
Žebrák, Matěj ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and construction of the spindle of the milling centre. The aim of the thesis is to design an indirect drive spindle with an output power of about 25 kW and a tool interface HSK 63. In the design part, first the selection of the drive method and spindle mounting is made. The selected structural design is then elaborated in detail using the necessary structural calculations supported by strength-deformation and modal FEM analysis. The output of this work is a 3D model of the spindle and drawings of the selected nodes.
Design of cartridge spindle for turning machines
Žádník, Lubomír ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a built-in headstock of a turning center. The aim of the work is the design of a spindle for machines up to 10 kW. The spindle is driven by a two-speed gearbox and a belt drive. In the introduction, the work deals with the description of individual parts of the turning headstock. A design proposal is performed, accompanied by a number of technical calculations. The result of the work is a 3D model, drawing documentation and calculation report.
Design of spindle for a small lathe
Šatný, Patrik ; Tůma, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pavlík, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a headstock for a small lathe. The first part of the thesis deals with the description of individual structural nodes related to the construction of machine tools headstock. The second part includes an overview of similar machines available on the market. The final part deals with the calculation of necessary parameters, the verification of results using the finite element method and the construction of the proposed headstock. Based on the designed construction is created 3D model and drawing documentation.
Machine tool spindle quality assurance
Marek, Tomáš ; Prostredník, Daniel (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the problem of quality assurance of headstock in a cooperating company, which is one of the leading manufacturers of grinding machine tools. The aim was to analyse the current situation and to suggest possibilities for improving the quality of the spindle. The main contribution is the introduction of control charts for individual values and a capability index to monitor the stability of selected production processes. The thesis concludes by suggesting a number of further options for improving the quality management system in the collaborating company, which should be considered by the company.

Interchangeable three-axis tool head for CNC portal milling machines
Balek, Jan ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on design of interchangeable three–axis tool head for CNC portal milling machines. The first part is devoted to a survey of the current state of technology and the representation of individual types of heads on the market. Furthermore, several possible variants of construction are proposed and the most optimal one is selected using multicriteria analysis. It is created a 3D model of selected variant, drawing documentation and technical calculations.
