This thesis deals with DC motor control. Main goal was design and realization of DC motor controler module with feedback. The first part dwells on methods for DC motor control and HW design of control module. The second part describes development of software for the module, testing and sums up results.
RFID equipped security terminal

The concept proposal of the RFID security terminal is described in this Master Thesis. The RFID identification and its usage are analyzed at first. The description of the selected fitting circuits, communication bus as well as its parameters follows. The practical realization, proposed module design and designed printed circuit board is described afterwards. Several problems found during activation phase are analyzed in the chapter describing the practical module realization. The problem resolution is mentioned as well. The practical prove of the real module parameters and differences compared to the designed values are described at the end of this Master Thesis.

Unit for communication in scientific instruments

We made device for communication between the computer and devices connected to the communication CAN (Controller Area Network) bus in the laboratory. This equipment generates four independent branches of the bus, which can communicate with each other, but short circuit, disconnection or other disorder in one of the branches does not affect the other three branches. Using the CANHUB card we can also interface devices connected CAN bus to a computer via USB or Ethernet. The hub consists of two AMIS-42770 integrated circuits. CAN/USB and CAN/Ethernet interface functionality is provided by a pair of Freescale 56F805 microcontrollers. The maximum communicating speed is 800 kbps while the devices in all braches of the bus must be set up to the same communication speed.
Design and implementation of modules for teaching and developing applications with microcontroller Atmel AVR

This thesis is based on the design and production of teaching kits with expansion modules which are based on the Atmel AVR microcontroller. Kit consists of a plate containing processes and basic power modules directly on the board and expansion modules "SIMAČ". "SIMAČ" modules are virtual elements that simulate the real elements and they are commonly used in industrial automation. Because of their cost they are integrated in extension kit as programmable modules. It also contains basic theoretical information about working with ATMEL AVR microcontrollers. Expansion modules with module development board and disc which will be loaded all the schemes, programs and technical documentation for individual districts will be attached to the thesis.

This paper describes our solution for a hardware co-simulation of algorithms in programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with a communication server out of Matlab. The implemented HW co-simulation with communication server has got many advantages and it allows uniform communication with dierent platforms via various communication interfaces (RS232, Ethernet, USB, etc.).
