Random number generator based on noise for low-power devices
Ecler, Tomáš ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a hardware generator of random numbers using a low-power microcontroller MSP430. At first are described the existing methods of generating random numbers and comparison of different types generators. After that are stated the batteries of statistical tests which can be verified the generator on the basis of generated sequence. In the end of the thesis is to verify own proposals of the generator by using the statistical tests NIST.
True random number generator
Procházková, Lenka ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Člupek, Vlastimil (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to apprise with true random number generators and their realisation. At first, random numbers and true random number generators are described and principles, details and properties are explained. The thesis also describes the use of generators in computers and in IoT devices and random sequences testing. The part of this thesis is description and realisation of computer generator and description of smartphone generator. The source of entropy used in this work is cursor move. Generated sequences were tested by the NIST STS and compared with sequences from other generators.
Random number generator
Zouhar, Petr ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with issues of random numbers, their generating and use in cryptography. Introduction of work is aimed to resolution of random number generators and pseudo--random number generators. There is also included often used dividing generators on software and hardware. We mention advantages and disadvantages of each type and area of their use. Then we describe examples of random and pseudorandom numbers, mainly hardware based on physical phenomenon such as the decay of radioactive material or use atmospheric noise. The following part is devoted to suggestion own random number generator and a description of its functionality. In the second half of the work we devote to the field of cryptography. We know basic types of cryptographic systems, namely symmetric and asymmetric cryptosystems. We introduce a typical representant the various type and their properties. At the end of the work we again return to our random number generator and verify the randomness generated numbers and obtained cryptograms.
Random number generation on FPGA platform
Písek, Miroslav ; Jedlička, Petr (referee) ; Dobiáš, Patrik (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the implementation of a hardware random number generator on FPGA platform. It tries to explain the basic architecture and possible FPGA configuration. In the theoretical part, the principles of random number generators are further described and then the statistical tests through which we evaluate these generators. In the following section, the existing generators designed for FPGA platforms are summarized and analyzed. A closer measurement of freely available TRNG is also underway. In the final part, there is a description of the implementation of the own random number generator. Randomness verification takes place through the NIST statistical test suite.

Návrh a implementace generátoru náhodných čísel
PECKA, Stanislav
This diploma thesis deals with creation of several random number generators. The data from these prototypes are then compared according to various aspects and statistical methods. The reader is familiar with the basic concepts, the existing random number generators and the technologies used.
