Větrovský, Lukáš ; Feher, Jan (advisor) ; Mejsnarová, Linda (referee)
Title: Analysis of the acceleracion phase of a short hurdle sprint Objectives The objective of this bachelor's thesis was to familiarize the reader with the issue of short hurdle sprints, with an emphasis on data analysis concerning the acceleration phase obtained from measurements on subjects from the adult, junior, and youth categories. Subsequently, from the evaluated data, the aim was to formulate conclusions applicable in practice for both coaches and the athletes themselves. Methods: For obtaining data, the Optojump measurement device was used together with video recordings from the first and second hurdles and the freely accessible computer program Kinovea. The data obtained from the Optojump device was transferred to Microsoft Excel. Subsequent graphs were also created in this program. The analysis was based on the professional literature, primarily (Pollit 2018) and Walker (2019), and involved comparing the data from the measurements of individual participants with each other. Results: From the results of the measurements and the professional literature, we found in the subsequent discussion that most of the tested hurdlers chose the eight-step strategy during the approach. In contrast, elite athletes increasingly practice the seven-step strategy during the approach, but this does not...

Title: Athletic preliminary's trainings and their application to the natural environment Objectives: The aim of this thesis is the application of athletic training to the natural environment outside an athletic oval. Methods: In the theoretical part of my thesis the method of literature search was used where outdoor activities are described and the younger school age is characterized. Furthermore, the thesis compares a concept of athletic preliminary in the Czech Republic and abroad. The thesis concludes with the effects of hypokinesis. The practical part consists of methodological and didactical materials which are supported by an empirical training in an athletic club and also by studying at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. The resultant trainings are suitable for athletic preliminary, i.e. for children under 12 years old. Results: The results are four regular training sessions on the oval together with four trainings in a natural environment with the same focus. Trainings focus on speed and coordination, games, jumps and throws and general training with hurdles. Conclusion: Children's athletic outside trainings open up new possibilities for various activities and bring many benefits. The natural environment is very diverse with unstable conditions and this can become a new challenge...

Sivila, Siddartha Humberto ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Bachelor thesis title: Evaluation of selected biomechanical parameters in triple jump Prepared by: Siddartha Humberto Sivila Supervisor of the bachelor thesis: Doc. PhDr. Ales Kaplan, Ph.D., MBA. Aims of the thesis: The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to evaluate selected biomechanical parameters of medalists from the Czech Republic Triple Jump Championships in recent years. The thesis focused on analyzing the performances of Czech triple jumpers, approach velocities, lengths of individual jumps, and ground contact times. An additional objective was to examine the relationship between ground contact time and speed loss, in order to determine whether the statement holds true that shorter ground contact time results in lesser speed loss. Methodology: The research utilized a method of analysis and comparison based on data obtained from the website of the Czech Athletics Federation. Foreign scientific articles and Czech literature were used to enhance understanding. Comparisons were conducted between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Performance comparisons were made among individual jumpers occupying medal positions. Additionally, a comparison was made between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Results: To achieve medal positions in the indoor season, in recent years it was necessary to achieve...

We collected information on the WCH, OH, times, rankings, and anthropometric characteristics (height, body weight, and Body Mass Index). Furthermore, we processed the data based on basic statistical characteristics, particularly mean, standard deviations, minimum and maximum values of the performances. We compared all of this data among each other. In the supplementary section, we created tables that serve as source data, while...
Using heart rate variability as a tool in the training process and optimizing the effect of training load
Treglerová, Michaela ; Feher, Jan (advisor) ; Kaplan, Aleš (referee)
This thesis focuses on heart rate variability (HRV) and how measuring, evaluating and working with data collected through the my Sasy mobile app can affect athlete performance. If training is modified according to the body's response to load, it can lead to more efficient performance gains, correct timing of more difficult training and control of overload or overtraining. If training is well planned and the principles of progressive loading during the macrocycle are followed, it is possible to obtain benefit by means of HRV, which reflects the state of the organism in relation to the autonomic nervous system (parasympathetic and sympathetic). If the individual is insufficiently compensated for the next load in the context of the training process, sympathetic activity will predominate and thus the following training unit would not have the desired effect (adaptive changes of the organism). This could lead to overload or overtraining in the long term. Title: Using heart rate variability as a tool in the training process and optimizing the effect of training load Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate the applicability of monitoring heart rate variability in training of athletes (combined athletes/ hurdlers/throwers). Furthermore, its influence on performance when adjusting the load...
