Optimization of motocross sidecar chassis
Švihálek, Petr ; Fojtášek, Jan (referee) ; Tobiáš, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design solutions of shock absorbers in the motorcycling discipline of sidecarcross. A research of various construction variants of shock absorbers was conducted, along with their measurements both in laboratory conditions and during training rides. The thesis explores the influence of basic adjustment elements of shock absorbers on their performance. The measurement results are analysed and presented using graphs illustrating the distribution of shock absorbers in the reaction area of normal compression and in the response area of the HS regulator. The theoretical part of the thesis provides basic information about sidecarcross, the history of shock absorbers, and their function. The practical part focuses on the installation of equipment and field measurements. The acquired knowledge is utilized to formulate recommendations for the optimal adjustment of shock absorbers, which can positively affect the riding characteristics and performance of racing specials.
Springing and Damping of Bikes
Borovička, Jan ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the creation of a computational model of a full-suspension bicycle, with the model developed using the MSC Adams View software. The literature review section describes damping units and various types of rear linkages, which are crucial for the functioning of suspension systems in bicycles. The practical part of the thesis details the structure of the model and the sensitivity analysis, examining the impact of different parameters on the model's behavior. To validate the results of the computational model, physical measurements were conducted to verify its accuracy and correctness. The thesis concludes with a proprietary design of a full-suspension bicycle, based on the insights and analyses carried out during the development and testing of the model.
The conception of landing gear
Greň, Martin ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This thesis of research type conserns of landing gear conceptions. The analysis will be perfomed as a general summary of particural conceptions of landing gear, their positives, negatives and usage.
Mathematical modeling and measuring of motorcycle dynamics
Gellner, Pavel ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the dynamics of motor vehicles. The introductory part of the thesis outlines basic principles of motorcycle riding dynamics modelling. Furthermore, a methodology of necessary parameters measuring was designed, including a measurement of a selected motorcycle. At the end of the thesis a measuring system for measuring of motorcycle dynamics was designed.
Conception of terrain vehicles UTV
Máca, Jiří ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (advisor)
This review type bachelor thesis is dealing with conceptual solutions of Utility terrain vehicles. Individual chapters are describing main functional groups and different options of their construction. These options are analysed in terms of suitability for given application in utility and sport terrain vehicles, their manufacturing complexity and costs. Specific vehicles are mentioned only marginally.
Motorcycle Springing and Damping System
Filka, Tomáš ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis consists of theoretical overview about motorcycle chassis and suspension systems as well as information about springs and dampers. It is also focused on practical usage of multibody simulation for motorcycle suspension testing which leads to the development of series of virtual riding tests built within MSC Adams View software environment. Then the results are further discussed together with suggestions for future improvement of this model.
Adjustable Shock Absorbers
Adamiec, Radek ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Blaťák, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis contains the survey of the shock absorbers of passenger cars, racing cars and motorcycles. Are described damping systems, the design used shock absorbers and forks for motorcycles. Then there is the list of the elements used in chassis systems.
Conception of ATV (all-terrain vehicles)
Dosedla, Milan ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is review article of the current design and construction setup of ATVs. In the individual chapters are analyzed function of structural units and their advantages and disadvantages for the application. Much attention is paid to the design and construction of the brakes and axles. Work based on the analysis 30 models of ATVs from different manufacturers. This thesis reports the specifications of selected models. In conclusion we discuss the appropriateness of design solutions for different types of ATVs such as utility or sport models.
Suspension Systems of Commercial Vehicles
Němeček, Vojtěch ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Fojtášek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis follows up suspensions of lorry types. Thesis contains comprehensive overview of all commonly manufactured springs and shock-absorbers. Thesis is divides into five main parts. The first chapter is about oscillations, quality of suspensions and about other points connected to this theory. The second chapter has detailed overview of main types of suspensions. All types of currently used suspensions are listed, including coil suspensions, leaf suspensions, air suspensions and also shock-absorbers. The third chapter combine suspensions on different types of axles with their structure. The fourth chapter contains future of suspensions and electronic systems. In the conclusion is mentioned subjective evaluation of different types of vehicles
Magnetic fluids used in the fluids engineering
Kůrečka, Jan ; Nováková, Naděžda (referee) ; Fialová, Simona (advisor)
Magnetic fluids are unique combination of fluids and magnetic materials and they are today used in many different applications. This thesis describes the characteristics of magnetorheological (MR) fluids and ferrofluids, their differncies and possibilities of practical uses. Examples of current magnetic fluids are given and comparison of their selected properties.
